1 Corinthians 15
The subject is ''Where are the dead?'' - The
dead are with the Lord?
Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit
shall return unto God who gave it.
The elect are expected to seek His knowledge, you need to know the
differentiate between your spiritually body and your fleshly body. The two words: raise and resurrect.
Resurrection means
an instant change into the eternal life, alive with the Lord.
All will be changed into their
own spiritual body, the
overcomers will be changed into immortal soul alive with Christ forever and
some will keep their mortal (liable to die) soul, until after
the millennium.
The Lord's Day begins the millennium.
The overcomers will be
changes into their immortal soul, they're with Christ forever.
Those that have a mortal (liable to die)
soul, will be taught for 1000 years, they will see the Lord face to face, but
they can not come into the millennium temple with the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I
preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
-
You need to stand up for God, the word of God,
The truth.
-
Teach Jesus rose on the third day
-
When God does something for you, Give God all the credit.
-
Man can not do
anything without God
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto
you, unless ye have believed in vain.
-
Do you believe Christ rose on the
third day?
-
Saved = Salvation
-
In vain = to no purpose
-
Roman 13:4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that
which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he
is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth
evil.
-
The magistrate, is acting for your own good.
-
If we didn't have laws, people would not be
safe.
-
If you do not believe Christ rose
on the third day, ye have believe in vain
-
Teach Christ's death and
resurrection
-
Paul refers to the substance of his
preaching, based as it was on the facts that Christ's death and
resurrection, which last was challenged by some false teachers.
(verse 12)
3 For I delivered unto you
first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins
according to the scriptures;
-
Delivered = John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the
vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up
the spirit.
-
Psalms 22: It was written 1000 years
before Christ was on the cross and why Christ died for our sins.
-
Isaiah 7:13 And he said, Hear ye now, O house of
David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men,
but will ye weary my God also?
14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a
sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear
a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
-
Immanuel means God (El) with Us
-
Three times is the blessing given in Numbers 6:23-24,
"The LORD bless thee and keep thee (the Father);
The LORD make His face shine upon thee; and be gracious unto thee
(the Son); The LORD lift up His countenance upon thee, and
give thee peace" (the Holy Spirit).
4 And that he was buried, and that he
rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
-
Teach Christ rose on the third
day
-
Rose = has been raised
-
Psalms 16:10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt
thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of
joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
-
Jonah 1:17 Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up
Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three
nights.
-
Hosea 6:1 Come, and let us return
unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath
smitten, and he will bind us up.
2 After two days will he revive
us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his
sight. 3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD:
his going forth is prepared as the morning; and
he shall come unto us as the rain, as the
latter and former rain unto the earth.
5 And that he
was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
-
All twelve apostles saw him
-
Luke 24:44 And he said unto them,
These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with
you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the
law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand
the scriptures, 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and
thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the
third day:
-
John 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being
the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the
disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus
and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto
you.
20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his
side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father
hath sent me, even so send I you.
22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto
them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit:
23 Whose so ever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and
whose so ever sins ye retain, they are retained.
24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them
when Jesus came.
6 After that, he was seen of
above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto
this present, but some are fallen asleep.
-
Fallen asleep means, death of the flesh
-
Some have already died and they're
with the Lord
-
Matthew 28:17 And when they saw him,
they worshipped him: but some doubted.
18 And Jesus came and
spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in
earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded
you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
Amen.
7 After that, he was seen
of James; then of all the apostles.
- Christ appeared before all apostles
8 And last of all he was seen of
me also, as of one born out of due time.
-
Paul is saying, I did not get to
walk with Him
-
Acts 9:15 But the Lord said unto
him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name
before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
9 For I am the least of the
apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the
church of God.
-
Act 9: God talks with Paul
-
Acts 13:9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy
Spirit, set his eyes on him,
-
Acts 8:3 As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering into
every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.
-
Acts 7:59 And they stoned Stephen,
calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
60
And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this
sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his
grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more
abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
-
Paul gave all credit to God
-
Act 9 Paul first try to destroy God word, until God spoke to him
-
Vain = empty = not the same word as in verse 2 and 17
11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye
believed.
- We preach the word of God
12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead,
how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
-
But if Christ is proclaimed that
He was raised from the dead
-
How do some among you say that
there is not resurrection of the dead?
-
2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing
rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be
accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment
seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his
body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
13
But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
-
Some teach, The dead rise not, If
no resurrection, Christ be not risen
-
Paul refers to the substance of his
preaching, based as it was on the facts that Christ's death and
resurrection, which last was challenged by some false teachers.
14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your
faith is also vain.
-
Teach, Christ rose from the dead,
because He lives
-
Unless ye have believed in vain, Our preaching
in vain, your faith is vain, you believe we are false witness.
-
You do not believe God's word.
-
Be not risen = has not raised
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God;
because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised
not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
-
If you teach, Christ did not rose, This is
false teaching
-
Matthews 26:60 But found none: yea, though many false witnesses
came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,
61 And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of
God, and to build it in three days.
62 And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou
nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?
63 But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said
unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether
thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
-
Ecclesiastes 12:6
Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or
the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the
cistern.
7 Then shall the
dust return to the earth as it
was: and the
spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
-
Look up dust:
clay, earth, mud, dust, earth, ground
-
Silver cord = spinal cord
-
Golden Bowl = the head, or skull
-
Pitcher = heart
-
Luke 20:38
For He is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live
unto him.
16 For if the dead rise not,
then is not Christ raised:
- Because we have testified of God that he
raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise
not.
- Gulf in Heaven (Luke 16)
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith
is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
-
Teach, All will be raised and changed into
their own spiritual body
-
2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing
rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be
accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment
seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his
body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
-
He is saying, your faith is vain. You do not
believe in God's Word.
-
Vain = to no purpose
-
Acts 14:15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men
of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn
from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and
earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
16 Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
-
Meaning you have listen to man
-
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the
word of truth.
-
Do not
believe what any man may teach you unless you first check them out
directly from God's Word which is unchangeable.
-
Jeremiah 17:5 Thus
saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh
flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
18 Then they also which are fallen
asleep in Christ are perished.
-
Fallen Asleep = Death of the
flesh
-
1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto
us which are saved it is the power of God.
-
He is saying, do you believe God's
word?
19 If in this life only we have hope
in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
-
Have hope = are having our hope
-
Of all men = more to be pitied than all men
-
If you think we live and die and
that's it, this is false teaching
-
Paul is
saying, all men that teach this is miserable.
-
Luke 20:38
For He is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live
unto him.
-
Notice Paul is trying to say, If you believe Christ rose, all that
died (sleep) in the flesh will rise also.
20 But now is Christ
risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept.
- Hope in
Christ "Everyone" will be raised and changed into their own spiritual body
-
Romans 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves
also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we
ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to
wit, the redemption of our body.
-
The first fruits, or the elect.
-
What Paul is saying here is, that even the elect
as we are placed in this flesh body to
accomplish the plan of God.
-
And bring about His purpose, even we look
forward to this day when we will be removed from
this dispensation.
-
And released from the political system which is
the (first beast) mentioned in Revelation 13.
-
Them = those who have fallen asleep
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the
dead.
- All in Christ shall be made alive, "Everyone"
will be raised and changed into their own spiritual body.
- Resurrection means changed into your immortality, means alive with
Christ
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall
all be made
alive.
-
All in Adam die, Means born of Flesh
-
For since death is through man, also through a
man is a resurrection of the dead.
-
As all die in Adam, so also all will be made
alive in Christ
-
All will stand before God. Whether it
be to good or bad they will be judged.
-
Luke 16:26
And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed:
so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can
they pass to us, that would come from thence.
-
The good on the right side of heaven, and the bad on the left
side of heaven
-
Romans 5:12-19
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the first fruits;
afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
-
Notice every man in his own order or time.
-
Christ is the first fruit
that was resurrected after the crucifixion and the remnant shall be resurrected at His coming.
-
John
14:6 The others shall come in their own time, or when they
have been taught fully and accept the son.
-
Only through Christ can
anyone reach the Father.
-
Only through Christ can anyone attain
eternal life.
-
Paul's teaching us that all mankind has a relationship
to Adam in that we all die in the fleshly body.
-
Now Christ's
relationship to man is Kingship and Saviour.
-
It is He who brings
salvation and for this purpose, all must be "raised" meaning made
alive, but not necessarily to the state of eternal life. Why?
-
Because they shall have the free will opportunity, having been
taught the truth, to choose to worship Christ and through Him
to attain eternal life.
24 Then cometh the
end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father;
when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
-
Christ's coming brings that "end" but this is the end of the
millennial age = (Revelation 20)
-
End =
-
Shall = the texts read, "delivers up"
-
When does Christ lay down His rule and deliver
the Kingdom to the Father?
-
On the last day of the millennium, which shall
usher in the eternity.
-
But let us revert to the Lord's day and go
down to verse 51.
-
Matthew 24:21
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since
the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
-
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh
be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
-
Revelation 22 tells us,
After Satan's tribulation Christ
will be with us for 1000 years.
-
This is the Millennium, this will be
the time of teaching God's word and all will have seen Him face to
face.
-
Ezekiel 44 Tells us Everyone, will know the word of God
and His Laws.
-
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he
that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death
hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and
shall reign with him a thousand years.
-
Revelation 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they
which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he
saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
-
Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold
a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and
True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
25
For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
-
Under = It is God Who put all enemies under Christ's feet
-
Psalms 1:6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of
the ungodly shall perish.
-
The Last enemy made to cease is death, which is the devil.
-
Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and
blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through
death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the
devil;
-
Who is death? The devil
26
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
-
Death is the last enemy to be destroyed = same word as
"put down" in verse 24
-
The Lord is alive
-
Satan is death.
-
The Last enemy made to cease is death, which is the devil.
-
Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and
blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through
death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the
devil;
- John 17:12
While I was with them in the world, I
kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and
none of them is lost, but
the son of perdition;
that the scripture might be fulfilled.
- Dead = another name of Satan = this is dead of the soul (Revelation
20)
-
Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of
fire. This is the second death.
-
This happens after the millennium, all will know
God's word and all will have seen Him face to face.
-
After the Millennium, Which is the second
death, many will go into The lake of fire.
-
If they still follow Satan after the
millennium, they will go into the lake of fire.
-
Revelation 20
This is the
last judgment for the unbelievers.
-
This is the
second death, Satan and his children are in the lake of fire.
27 For he hath put
all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him,
it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
- Hath put = subjected
- Put under Him = subjected = This quotation is form Psalms 8:6 Thou
madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put
all things under his feet:
- He is excepted = it is with the exception of Him
- Luke 2:51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was
subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and
man.
- Matthew 10:28 And fear not
them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather
fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son
also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may
be all in all.
- Subdued = subjected, as above
- Subject = subjected = It is the Father Who puts all enemies as a
footstool for the feet of the Son.
- Matthews 22:44 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right
hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
- But when this is done, the Son rises up, takes His great power and
reigns, and putting His feet on the footstool, treads down the nations
His enemies, and continues to put down all that exalts itself against
God throughout His millennial reign.
-
Revelation 11:17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the
beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
-
Psalms 18:37 I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them:
neither did I turn again till they were
consumed.
38 I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are
fallen under my feet.
39 For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou
hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
40 Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I
might destroy them that hate me.
41 They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the
Lord, but he answered them not.
42 Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did
cast them out as the dirt in the streets.
43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and
thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have
not known shall serve me.
44 As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers
shall submit themselves unto me.
45 The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their
close places.
46 The Lord liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of
my salvation be exalted.
47 It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.
48 He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up
above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from
the violent man.
49 Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the
heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.
50 Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to
his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.
-
Psalms 60:1 O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered
us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.
2 Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal
the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.
3 Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to
drink the wine of astonishment.
4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may
be displayed because of the truth. Selah.
5 That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand,
and hear me.
6 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide
Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the
strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;
8 Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe:
Philistia, triumph thou because of me.
9 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into
Edom?
10 Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O
God, which didst not go out with our armies?
11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall
tread down our enemies.
29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the
dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?
-
What has been the subject of this
chapter?
-
Where are the dead?
-
Do you believe
Christ rose from the dead?
-
What happens to your body, after the death of
the flesh?
-
If you do not believe Christ rose. Don't be baptized in Christ name.
30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
- Man has always stood up for God's
word
31 I protest by your
rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
-
I face death daily. Teaching God's
word
-
People want to listen to man, They
don't have time to study God's word
-
Roman 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
32 If
after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what
advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow
we die.
- Act 19:28-31 What is the profit to
me if the dead are not raised?
33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
-
Do not be led astray
-
Some people want to know God's word,
and some listen to man.
-
Some just do not care. They go the
ways of the world
-
Don't be around people that don't
care about God's word
-
Bad companionships ruin good
habits.
-
Do not communication with bad
people
-
People will think you believe as
them
-
God's word grows like a seed, but
some don't want to study
-
God knows your heart and mind
-
Keep the oil in your lamp, which is
the word of God.
34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge
of God: I speak this to your shame.
- I speak to your shame, We're born
with a flesh body
- We have two bodies
- Flesh body and spiritual body
35 But some man will say, How are
the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
-
We all die in the fleshly body.
-
"Everyone" = "All" will be raised
and changed into own their Spiritual body.
36 Thou fool,
that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
-
Quickened = made alive
-
Your fleshly body has to die and goes back to the
ground
-
"Everyone" all will be raised and changed into
their own spiritual body.
-
1 Corinthians 15:50
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh
and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption
inherit incorruption.
-
2 Corinthians 5:8 We
are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body,
and to be present with the Lord.
-
1 Peter 3:18
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the
unjust, that he might bring us to God,
being put to death in the flesh, but quickened
by the Spirit:
37 And that
which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain,
it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
-
The grain that you sow, will not grow on it's
own, without God's help.
-
Ecclesiastes 11:5 As thou knowest not what is the way
of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is
with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh
all.
6 In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold
not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either
this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
-
In the
morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand:
for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or
whether they both shall be alike good.
38 But God giveth it
a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
-
His own body = Before you were born in the
flesh
-
There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies
-
Fleshly body and spiritual body
39 All
flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another
flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
-
There was a world age before this earth age.
-
In the first world age you were in your own spiritually body.
-
Jeremiah 1:4 Then the word of the LORD came unto
me, saying,
5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and
before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I
ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
-
Before this earth age, God knew you.
40 There
are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the
celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
-
Celestial
bodies = Heavenly Body
-
Terrestrial bodies = Earthly Body
-
You have two
bodies
41
There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another
glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
-
God's children are called stars
-
Job 38:6
Where upon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the
corner stone thereof;
7 When the morning stars sang together, and
all the sons of God shouted for joy?
-
Our Flesh body gets old and get sick, but the spiritual
body time does not matter.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it
is raised in incorruption:
-
Corruptible: decayed,
perishable = your flesh body you were born with
-
Incorruptible:
undecaying (in essence or continuance) = your spiritual body, after
you die
-
Verse 40 Is saying: Your heavenly body is your
own spiritual body.
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised
in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
- You're born with a flesh body means liable
to die, and raised into heavenly spiritually body.
44 It is
sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body,
and there is a spiritual body.
-
Natural body, is the body you are born with.
-
Spiritual body is your heavenly body.
-
Ecclesiastes 12:6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed,
or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the
fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.
7 Then shall the
dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto
God who gave it.
-
Look up dust:
clay, earth, mud, dust, ground
-
Silver cord = spinal cord
-
Golden Bowl = Flesh Body = the head, or skull
-
Pitcher = heart
45 And so it is written, The first man
Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
-
The first Adam who sin became = A living soul
= Adam
-
Last Adam = Christ a life giving spirit
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is
natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
-
Paul is telling us: you were with God with your own spiritual body.
-
Before you were born of woman
-
First earth age you were in your spiritual
bodies with God
-
Second earth age is now your natural body,
which is your flesh body
-
After your flesh body
dies, you will be raised and changed into
your own spiritually body.
47 The first man is
of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
-
2 Corinthians 5:8 We
are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and
to be present with the Lord.
-
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we
may be accepted of him.
-
10 For we must all appear before
the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the
things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether
it be good or bad.
48 As
is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly,
such are they also that are heavenly.
-
First earth age, heavenly
-
Second earth age, here on earth
now
-
Third earth age, we are with God
forever, all wicked men are cast in the lake of fire (Rev 20)
-
Why are we in this earth age?
-
Ezekiel 28: God needs to know, Do you Love Him
-
Bible study hour; why are we living in this world
49 And as we have borne the
image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
-
You were born of fleshly body, also
you will have heavenly body.
-
Spiritual body, means you are
no longer in your flesh body.
50
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of
God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
-
Flesh can not enter heaven with a corruption body,
means your flesh body.
-
After your fleshly body
dies, you will be changed into
your own spiritually body.
-
This is why you have to know Christ raised
from the dead
-
Matthew 16:26
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and
lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his
soul?
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father
with his angels; and then he shall reward
every man according to his works.
28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall
not taste of death, till they see the
Son of man coming in his kingdom.
-
verse 51 - notice the word "all"
will be
changed
-
verse 52 - notice the word "last trump"
51 Behold, I shew
you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall
all be changed,
-
Sleep indicates death of the flesh body, or death
as we understand it today. So what happens to those that do not
sleep or die?
-
Who are they? The very elect at the last trump, Christ
gathers His Very Elect and they will be changed into their spiritual
body at the 7th trump
-
Mark 13:27 And then shall he send his angels, and
shall gather together his elect from the four winds,
from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of
heaven.
-
Mark 13:30 Christ said, "Verily I say unto you,
that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done".
-
If you will read prior to this verse, you will
understand that He is addressing His very elect, those that have
ears to hears and understanding the Father's plan. Those that will be delivered before
the synagogue to witness for Christ sake in the last days. Verses 52-54
give us further information on this change and also specify a time.
-
Incorruptible body = Your Spiritual Body
-
2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to
be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we
may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before
the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the
things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether
it be good or bad.
-
1 Corinthians15:18
Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
-
Fallen asleep = Death of the flesh
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,
at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and
we
shall be changed.
-
Paul is telling us this is the
beginning of the
millennium.
Because of the LAST trumpet
-
Note the word ''DEAD'', it says All dead shall
be raised.
-
Notice Dead = spiritually
dead to God's Word = Ezekiel 37
-
All that are spiritually dead to God's Word will be raised to an incorruptible body, means a body that
would not decay, shrivel, wither or age,
but they keep this mortal soul, meaning liable to die.
-
Corruptible body means, the flesh body you
were born with.
-
Incorruptible
body means, your heavenly spiritual body,
After your flesh body
dies.
-
In Revelation 20 tells us, the unbeliever will keep
their mortal soul, until after the millennium and they will be
judged again after the millennium.
-
The last trump is
the seventh trump
of Revelation 11, or the time of the great day of the Lord.
-
2 Thessalonians 2:3 At this time those who, in
their ignorance have accepted the false Christ that shall return
prior to the return of Christ, we shall be "raised". We are not given
details concerning this change, which we will arbitrarily term the
"new body" as opposed to the "flesh body". Verse 53-54 states that
this new body is incorruptible; that is to say, is not subject to
withering or pain or disease.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption,
and this mortal must put on immortality.
-
You have two bodies = Corruptible and incorruptible
-
Flesh body and Spiritual body
-
Look up:
Corruptible
=
decayed, perishable
-
All flesh are born with
Corruptible
body
-
Look up:
incorruptible:
= undecaying (in essence or continuance)
-
Incorruptible
Body = Your Spiritual body =
After your flesh body
dies, you will be raised and changed into
your own spiritually body.
-
Moral and
Immortal = Meaning your soul only
-
Look up: mortal
= liable to die
-
All flesh are born with moral soul = liable to
die
-
Look up: Immortal
=
deathlessness: immortality
-
After your flesh body
dies, the
believers are resurrected into
their Immortality (deathlessness) soul alive with Christ
forever. They are on the right side of
the gulf in heaven.
-
Look up: mortal
= liable to die
-
All flesh are born with moral soul = you are liable to
die
-
As long as you have your mortal soul you are
liable to die
-
After the flesh body dies, the unbelievers
will keep their mortal soul, until after the millennium. They are on
the left side of the gulf in heaven.
-
Ezekiel 18:4
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul
of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that
sinneth, it shall die.
54 So when this corruptible
shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on
immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written,
Death
is swallowed up in victory.
-
What he's saying is, at the last trump or the beginning of the
millennium, all will be changed into their own spiritually body and
the believers are changed into their immortality soul,
alive with forever with
Christ.
-
All that followed Satan's one world order, will be changed into
their spiritually body BUT they will keep their moral soul, liable
to die soul until after the Millennium and will be judged again. I
they follow Christ this time after they have been taught 1000 year,
they will be changed into their immortality soul alive with the Lord
forever. Those that followed Satan will go into the lake of fire.
-
The one thousand years of
eternal life will only come with salvation through Christ, or with
acceptance of the Father and the Son after their testing.
-
Ezekiel 44:23
And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy
and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and
the clean.
-
It is the Father's purpose to give them the opportunity in the
millennium to take on immortality soul.
-
Rev 20
It is during the millennium age
that all peoples shall be taught by the very elect under Christ , while
Satan will be locked in the pit and without influence.
-
Rev 20
They will have their opportunity for resurrection or
immortality after their testing which is at the time of the short
season Satan is loosed.
-
After they have been taught fully at the end
of the millennium.
-
Every man in his on order, as stated in verse 23.
-
As long as you have your mortal soul you are
liable to die.
-
Believers are resurrected to
Immortality (deathlessness) soul, alive with Christ
-
All are judged
according to
their works.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave,
where is thy victory?
- There is no more death, because your no longer in your flesh body
- Yes, those with moral soul, will be judged after
the millennium
- The believers will be changed into their Immortality soul
(deathlessness) has to do with the soul.
- Those that follow Satan will be go into the lake of fire.
-
Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the
Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and
the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all
the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.
9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God;
we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the
Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and
rejoice in his salvation.
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength
of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the
victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved
brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the
Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
