  • It is critically important that you clearly understand something so important as renewing your strength.
  • What does this word "wait" mean? "Wait" in Hebrew, a prime root which can't be translated any other way than "to bind by the means of twisting together".
  • Bind, or entwine, yourself with God in His Word. You aren't going to gain strength by waiting. Those that bind themselves to the Lord, and His Word, shall renew their strength.

Revelation 15:1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
  • What's the subject?

  • These who had gotten ''victory'' are the overcomers. These have studied to show themselves approved.
  • They are those that knew what happens at the 6th trumpet, 6th vial and the 6th seal
  • And had actually overcome the beast = his name Satan
  • Who is the false Christ?
  • We know that the mark was put on Cain in the garden.
  • The sea of glass is a sea of purity, absolute purity.
  • They are standing upon a ground of purity.
  • Remember the elders mentioned earlier in other chapters.
  • They were standing on the sea of glass.
  • Revelation 4:6 show us that the sea of glass is before the throne.

3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
  • ALL nations shall worship, not a few.
  • All nations shall come and worship before thee = Because you are with Christ
  • Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they (Satan's seed) also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen

  • The elect's name was in the book when the foundation of the world was laid.
  • Long before this age, you were not chosen, not by accident, because you stood with God in a previous time.
  • The elect earned the right to have God's mark in their mind and your name written in the book and to serve Him.
Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon (Satan) was wroth with the woman (The 13 tribes of Israel), and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
  • Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
  • We see here, that it is the remnant of Israel with whom he is going to make war.
  • He will not be successful.
  • Isaiah 43:2 to give you peace in the troublous days to come.

  • And thou through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee
  • When thou walkest through the fire
  • Thou shall not be burned
  • Neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Psalms 37:5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous.

18 The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

33 The Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

34 Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

Psalms 73:27 For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.

28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works.

1 Thessalonians 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night
.
  • We needn't write concerning the time Christ will return.
  • You know what is commonly taught that he will come as a thief in the night, but pay attention as you read on.
  • Nobody knows when a thief in the night = Study to know the seasons
  • 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
  • Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
  • There is much talk on radio, TV and the press concerning peace of today.
  • World peace, or one Worldism, is one of the signs of the last days.
  • Who are Them = Those that don't study God's word
  • There will not be peace until =  The Lord comes at the 7th trumpet
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
  • That should alleviate a lot of fear in people's minds and hearts, as far as being deceived by the false christ is concerned; for a child in Christ's light of truth is NEVER in the darkness of satan's lies and deception.
  • It does matter what hour is on the clock.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
  • Let us observe and know the signs of the coming by studying His teaching, the word of God.
  • Don't fall asleep at the last hour.
7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
  • They that slumber in this stupor and deception and they that be drunken and cannot function mentally.
8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
  • Knowing and robbing yourself in the truth.
  • If you go to Ephesians 6, you will determine what the gospel armor is in its entirety
Those that wait on the Lord refers to Genesis 3, the promise being "Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life."

"He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death" (Revelation 2:10,11).

The reference is to Genesis 3, where death first enters. But the promise goes beyond this; for it relates not merely to the death which came in with sin, but to the "second death," which is revealed in Revelation 20:14; 21:8.

2 Esdras 2:10 Thus saith the Lord unto Esdras, Tell my people that I will give them the kingdom of Jerusalem, which I would have given unto Israel.

11 Their glory also will I take unto me, and give these the everlasting tabernacles, which I had prepared for them.

12 They shall have the tree of life for an ointment of sweet savour; they shall neither labour, nor be weary.

13 Go, and ye shall receive: pray for few days unto you, that they may be shortened: the kingdom is already prepared for you: watch.

Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.

Revelation 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them (God's elect)  that had gotten the victory over the beast (Satan), and over his (false christ) image, and over his (your works) mark, and over the number of his (Satan) name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

  • The elect shall teach my people the difference between the Holy and profane
  • When Satan is locked into the pit for one thousand years
  • The elect will also teach the world by our witness at the end of this earth age, when the elect are delivered up before the councils and synagogues, when God will speak through us and draw the 144,000 out of confusion and the world. (Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21
Ezekiel 44:15 But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD:

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

  • Therefore = The Massorah (Ap. 30 and Ap. 93) calls attention to the fact that this verse contains all the letters of the Hebrew alphabet, including the five final letters.
  • This implies that the verse takes in the whole purpose of God's concerning to Israel.
Revelation 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

  • Can you imagine Daniel's bewilderment?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
  • It was not meant for Daniel to understand.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
  • The wicked are those who work against the elect of God.
  • But note that it says the wise shall understand.
  • You the elect, are the wise.
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
  • The daily sacrifice was taken away when Christ died on the cross in 33 A.D. (Hebrews 10)
  • Christ died for our sins = no more burn sacrifice
  • What did Jesus say in Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
  • When did the Kenites slip into Jerusalem, the Holy Place?
  • The nation Israel became a nation, the tribe of Judah became a nation May 14, 1948, the Kenites slip in, they do not believe in the Lord.
  • Satan's children and followers will help bring in one Worldism and Satan himself will appear and stand in the holy place, in Jerusalem saying he is God.

  • Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it

  •  Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us?
42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?

43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.

45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I if it be already kindled?

50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!

51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

54 And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.

Zephaniah 3:14 Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.

15 The Lord hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the Lord, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more.

16 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack.

17 The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

18 I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden.

19 Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.

20 At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the Lord.

Revelation 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

If you haven't studied God's word, how do you know what's going on at the 5th trumpet?

God shows us here "You have to have the seal of God in your forehead" before the 5th trumpet (Revelation 9)

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
  • Study to shew thyself approved unto God
  • A workman that needeth not to be ashamed
2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Psalms 40:1 I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.

4 Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

5 Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

6 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.

7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

8  I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, thou knowest.

10 I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy loving kindness and thy truth from the great congregation.

11 Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: let thy loving kindness and thy truth continually preserve me.

12 For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.

13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me: O Lord, make haste to help me.
