Ezekiel 5
Book of Ezekiel
Ezekiel 5:1 And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber's
razor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee
balances to weigh, and divide the hair.
-
Divide into 1/3
-
He's talking about the 1/3 that followed Satan
2 Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days
of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it
with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw
out a sword after them.
-
He's talking about the 1/3 that followed Satan
-
Take thee a barber's razor = as a barber's razor
shalt thou take it. This is the sign of the
Assyrian army
-
God said, I'm going to scatter them all over the
world
-
Isaiah 7:20 In the same day shall the Lord shave
with a razor that is hired, namely, by them
beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the
head, and the hair of the feet: and it shall
also consume the beard.
3 Thou shalt also take thereof a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts.
4 Then take of them again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn
them in the fire; for thereof shall a fire come forth into all the house of
Israel.
-
Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.
-
Consuming fire NT:355 from NT:303 and a form of
the alternate of NT:138; properly, to use up,
destroy: KJV - consume.
-
Fire = to cleanse out all evil
-
Fire = Holy Spirit to warm your heart
-
Which side do you want to be on? God's going to
be there for those that love Him.
-
1 Samuel 8:18 And
ye shall cry out in that day because of
your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the
LORD
will not hear you
in that day.
-
Psalms 37:
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth
the righteous.
18 The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall
be for ever. 19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine
they shall be satisfied. 20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as
the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume
away.
-
What happened to
smoke?
-
Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them
that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light,
and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for
bitter!
21 Woe unto them that are wise in their
own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
-
Deut 4:24 For the Lord thy God is a
consuming fire, even a jealous God.
25 When thou shalt beget children, and
children's children, and ye shall have remained
long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves,
and make a graven image, or the likeness of any
thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the
Lord thy God, to provoke him to anger:
-
2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked
be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume
with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy
with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the
working of Satan with all power and
signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of
unrighteousness in them that perish; because
they received not the love of the truth, that
they might be saved.
5 Thus saith the Lord God; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the
nations and countries that are round about her.
-
The peace talks of today will fail
6 And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and
my statutes more than the countries that are round about her: for they have
refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.
-
Changed = rejected, or rebelled against
-
They = the nations and the countries
7 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye multiplied more than the nations
that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept
my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that
are round about you;
8 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and
will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.
9 And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do
any more the like, because of all thine abominations.
10 Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons
shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole
remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.
-
If you ask 90% of the tribes of Israel who they
are?
-
They don't know = They don't even care
about their birthright
-
God said, I will scatter them
11 Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord God; Surely, because thou hast defiled
my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations,
therefore will I also diminish thee; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will
I have any pity.
12 A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall
they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword
round about thee; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will
draw out a sword after them.
-
1/3 shall die with the pestilence, and with
famine shall they be consumed in the midst of
thee
-
1/3 that followed Satan
-
1/3 shall fall by the sword round about
thee
-
4th trump = 1/3 of the Christian are spiritual
dead to God's Word = these started listen to man
-
Sword = the word of God
-
1/3 I will scatter a third part into all the
winds, and I will draw out a sword after them
-
1/3 that doesn't care = these do as the world =
they don't study God's word
-
Jeremiah 15:1 Then said the Lord unto me, Though
Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind
could not be toward this people: cast them out
of my sight, and let them go forth.
2 And it shall come to pass, if they say unto
thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt
tell them, Thus saith the Lord; Such as are for
death, to death; and such as are for the sword,
to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to
the famine; and such as are for the captivity,
to the captivity.
-
Jeremiah 21:9 He that abideth in this city shall
die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the
pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth
to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall
live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey.
-
Ezekiel 6:12 He that is far off shall die of the
pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by
the sword; and he that remaineth and is besieged
shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish
my fury upon them.
13 Then shall ye know that I am the Lord, when
their slain men shall be among their idols round
about their altars, upon every high hill, in all
the tops of the mountains, and under every green
tree, and under every thick oak, the place where
they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.
14 So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and
make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than
the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their
habitations: and they shall know that I am the
Lord.
-
Zech 13:7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd,
and against the man that is my fellow, saith the
Lord of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep
shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand
upon the little ones.
8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the
land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be
cut off and die; but the third shall be left
therein.
9 And I will bring the third part through the
fire, and will refine them as silver is refined,
and will try them as gold is tried: they shall
call on my name, and I will hear them: I will
say, It is my people: and they shall say, The
Lord is my God.
-
Jeremiah 9:16 I will scatter them also among the
heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers
have known: and I will send a sword after them,
till I have consumed them.
-
Ezekiel 5:2 Thou shalt burn with fire a third
part in the midst of the city, when the days of
the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a
third part, and smite about it with a knife: and
a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and
I will draw out a sword after them.
-
Ezekiel 6:8 Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye
may have some that shall escape the sword among
the nations, when ye shall be scattered through
the countries.
9 And they that escape of you shall remember me
among the nations whither they shall be carried
captives, because I am broken with their whorish
heart, which hath departed from me, and with
their eyes, which go a whoring after their
idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the
evils which they have committed in all their
abominations.
10 And they shall know that I am the Lord, and
that I have not said in vain that I would do
this evil unto them.
-
Zech 7:14 But I scattered them with a
whirlwind among all the nations
whom they knew not. Thus the land was
desolate after them, that no man passed through
nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land
desolate.
-
Lev 26:33 And I will scatter you among the
heathen, and will draw out a sword after you:
and your land shall be desolate, and your cities
waste.
34 Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as
long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your
enemies' land; even then shall the land rest,
and enjoy her sabbaths.
35 As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest;
because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when
ye dwelt upon it.
36 And upon them that are left alive of you I
will send a faintness into their hearts in the
lands of their enemies; and the sound of a
shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall
flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall
fall when none pursueth.
37 And they shall fall one upon another, as it
were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye
shall have no power to stand before your
enemies.
38 And ye shall perish among the heathen, and
the land of your enemies shall eat you up.
13 Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon
them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the Lord have spoken
it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them.
-
Zeal = jealousy
-
God wants you to love Him. If you love God you
will know His Word
-
How do you know how to please Him?
-
Without the knowledge of His Word, you do not
know how to please God
-
Deut 32:36 For the Lord shall judge his people,
and repent himself for his servants,
when he seeth that their power is gone, and
there is none shut up, or left.
-
Compare to: Isaiah 1:24 Therefore saith the
Lord, the Lord of hosts, the mighty One of
Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries,
and avenge me of mine enemies:
25 And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely
purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:
26 And I will restore thy judges as at
the first, and thy counsellors
as at the beginning: afterward
thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness,
the faithful city.
27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her
converts with righteousness.
14 Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that are
round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by.
15 So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment
unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in
thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the Lord have spoken it.
16 When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for
their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the
famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:
17 So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee;
and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword
upon thee. I the Lord have spoken it.
• Exactly 2520 years from the exile
of Benjamin, Iceland became an independent nation.
•
The first tribe to be
conquered by the Assyrians was Manasseh,
in 745 B.C. Exactly 2520 years later America became a nation on July 4, 1776.
(Leviticus. 26: 28-46) God warned Israel that if they persisted in continually
breaking His Laws, not only would curses come upon them.
He would punish them for seven times, (a time being 360 years, seven times would
be 2520 years) and would banish them from the land of Palestine and scatter them
among the heathens (like lost sheep)
