Micah 2:1 Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand.

• These go to bed at night thinking of how they can rip people off  the next day.
• Work = plan
• Evil = wickedness
• Look at congress. Just like reading tomorrow newspaper
• Laws that are for the wicked

2 And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.

3 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil.

• Evil = calamity

4 In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields.

• Turning away = to a heathen = our enemy = the Assyrian.
• Don't trust man
• Satan's seed or followers seek to rip you off
• Read all contracts before you sign anything, these seek to deceive you with contracts = with small print

5 Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast a cord by lot in the congregation of the Lord.

6 Prophesy ye not, say they to them that prophesy: they shall not prophesy to them, that they shall not take shame.

• Prophesy = Do not sputter
  Say they to them that prophesy = so they sputter
  They shall not prophesy = Not the usual word for prophesy, but Hebrew = nataph.
  They = these false prophets
  Them = as to these things =  these doings of God
  That = Supply
• Saying = must He put away these suppressers

7 O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the Lord straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

• Do not = are not
• His = as in preceding clause: or = are not My words pleasant (saith God)?
• Do good = pleasant.

8 Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.

• Sputters = false teachers = ripping off My people off = through taxation, etc..
• Even of late = Only yesterday, or recently: this highway robbery was a new and recent evil.

9 The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever.

• For ever = not to be restored for the rest of their lives = from false teaching
• Ezekiel 44:15 But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD:
• Deuteronomy 18:1 The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and his inheritance.
•  The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance
2 Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the Lord is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.
• The Lord is their inheritance
• The priest = the Levites priest are My inhertance
• The house of Israel doesn't know who they are. Because of false teaching

10 Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.

• Sabbath = Rest = There's No rest = Why = Christ is our Rest = Christ is the Word
• My word is polluted
• Ezekiel 36:12 Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and thou shalt no more henceforth bereave them of men.
  13 Thus saith the Lord God; Because they say unto you, Thou land devourest up men, and hast bereaved thy nations;

11 If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.

• Prophet = False = The sputters come in and you like to hear their lies and follow their ways
• My people don't read My word = they listen to man
• Micah 2:6 Prophesy ye not, say they to them that prophesy: they shall not prophesy to them, that they shall not take shame.

12 I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

• Ezekiel 37:15 The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,
  16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:

19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

13 The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the Lord on the head of them.

• God's not going to be with those = that will not listen to Him
• The breaker = One making a breach = The Assyrian = refers to Satan
• Gone out = gone forth into captivity
• On = at = for it is God's judgment
• Micah 1:1 The word of the Lord that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.
  2 Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord God be witness against you, the Lord from his Holy Temple.

• Exactly 2520 years from the exile of Benjamin, Iceland became an independent nation.

 

•  The first tribe to be conquered by the Assyrians was Manasseh, in 745 B.C. Exactly 2520 years later America became a nation on July 4, 1776.

(Leviticus. 26: 28-46) God warned Israel that if they persisted in continually breaking His Laws, not only would curses come upon them.

He would punish them for seven times, (a time being 360 years, seven times would be 2520 years) and would banish them from the land of Palestine and scatter them among the heathens (like lost sheep)
