Proverbs 16
Book of
Proverbs
Proverbs 16:1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of
the tongue, is from the Lord.
-
Preparations = arrangements or your mind that plans
things
-
To man pertain the plans of his heart, but from
God comes the final decree, may be well rendered
"the last word"
-
Answer, which is a word of wide meaning.
-
Tongue for what is said by it.
-
The silent and secret plans of man's heart are
contrasted with the disclosures of the tongue,
which which come from God.
2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth
the spirits.
-

depends on what a man believes.

-
The first earth age
-
Jeremiah 4:22 For my people is foolish, they
have not known me; they are sottish children,
and they have none understanding: they are wise
to do evil, but to do good they have no
knowledge.
23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without
form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no
light.
24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they
trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.
25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all
the birds of the heavens were fled.
26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a
wilderness, and all the cities thereof were
broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by
his fierce anger.
27 For thus hath the Lord said, The whole land
shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full
end.
28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the
heavens above be black: because I have spoken
it, I have purposed it, and will not repent,
neither will I turn back from it.
29 The whole city shall flee for the noise of
the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into
thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every
city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell
therein.
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same
word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of
judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though

enemies are at peace with you
8 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without
right.
-
It's better to have a little, than to rip
someone off and have a lot of money.
9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.

Zechariah 4:10 For who hath
despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall
see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are
the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
-
11 Then answered I, and said unto
him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the
candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
12 And I answered
again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which
through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?
13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And
I said, No, my lord. 14 Then said he, These
are the two anointed ones, that stand by the LORD of the whole
earth.
-
A ''plummet'' is a tin stone
-
It's a plumb bob weighting heavily
on the end of a string
-
The weight will keep the string
straight with no varying from the right to the left.
-
You see in this 10th verse the 7000
that pick up the plummet and bring the people out of confusion.
-
They, the 7000, are the eye of God
-
Likewise, they shall neither turn
right or left but go straight, following the truth of God's plan.
12 It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is
established by righteousness.
-
If he commit abominations, he not going to be
king long
13 Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that
speaketh right.
-
They love, or, kings love the words of rightness
14 The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will
pacify it.
-
Pacify it = get it covered
15 In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as
a cloud of the latter rain.
-
Latter rain = which brings forth the harvest
-
The more you study God's word, God's going to
give you the latter rain.
-
Matthew 13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto
him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
-
Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
-
Question of Disciples
11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you
to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them
it is not given.
The Mysteries, the secrets or the things hither
to kept secret.
Because it is given unto, "those
that will be doer", "those that will act on it", and teach the word.
It is given to them that want to study and teach
God's word
If you can just get one to hears God's word and
the seed will grow, it is important to God.
Cloud = heavy cloud, specially valuable, falling

-

the spoil with the proud.

bringeth evil to pass.
31 The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of
righteousness.
32 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that
ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
