This chapter is broken down up into six
segments. It is the harvest time and the angels of God, not the children
of the wicked one, they are reaping the harvest. This chapter is broken up
into six angelic appearances, occurring over a vast amount of time.
Romans 11:25
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be
ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that
blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the
Gentiles be come in.
Revelation 7 = Written to the earth, Revelation 14
= The Vision is in heaven = Christ
has returned
-
The Vision is in heaven; for the
singers stand before the Throne, and they are with the
Lamb.
-
He is not yet descended to the
Earth.
-
This decides the point that it is
the heavenly Zion which is here referred to.
-
The Temple on Earth was close to
Mount Zion; so the Temple in heaven is correspondingly
near to the heavenly Zion.
-
Hebrews 12:22 But ye are come unto
mount Sion, and unto the
city of the
living God, the
heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of
angels,
Revelation 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him
an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in
their foreheads.
-
The Vision is in heaven; for the
singers stand before the Throne, and they are with the
Lamb.
-
The Lamb standing on mount Sion with his
company.
-
Hebrews 12:22 But ye are come unto
mount Sion, and unto the
city of the
living God, the
heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of
angels,
-
Notice Satan's tribulation is over, Christ has return and He's with
His people
-
Notice in verse 3 = the 144,000 were
redeemed from the earth
-
7,000 = Revelation 15:3 And they (7,000) sing the song of
Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great
and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and
true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
-
Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him
before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy
and without blame before him in love:
-
Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall
worship him (Satan), whose names are not written in the book of life
of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
-
Revelation 17:8 The beast (Satan) that thou sawest was, and
is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into
perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose
names were not written in the book of life from the
foundation of the world, when they behold the beast (Satan)
that was, and is not, and yet is.
-
7,000 =
Revelation 7:13 And one of the elders
answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in
white robes? and whence came they?
-
14 And I said unto
him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which
came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and
made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
-
15 Therefore
are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night
in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell
among them.
-
The
Lamb Jesus Christ., By teaching and sharing the truth, The very
elect are being used by God.
-
Hebrews 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the
city of the
living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of
angels,
23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn,
which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the
spirits of just men made perfect,
24 And to Jesus the mediator of
the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh
better things than that of Abel.
25 See that ye refuse not him
that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on
earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that
speaketh from heaven:
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but
now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth
only, but also heaven.
27 And this word, Yet once more,
signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of
things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may
remain.
28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be
moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with
reverence and godly fear:
29 For our God is a consuming fire.
-
Revelation 7:3,
tells us the Angel Is Saying, Stop! Hold
Everything! Go No Further
-
Until the elect
(7,000) has sealed The
144,000 With
The Truth, The Seal Of God In Your Forehead
-
Revelation 7:3
Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees,
till
we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and
there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all
the tribes of the children of Israel.
-
Looked = saw
-
A = the
-
Stood = standing
-
His... name = His name and His Father's name
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of
many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of
harpers harping with their harps:
- The voice of God, speaking from heaven
- The Vision is in heaven
- I heard = The voice which I heard (was that) of harpers
- Harpers = accompanying
- Many waters = Revelation 1:16 And he had in his right hand
seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp
two edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in
his strength.
- Revelation 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a
great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the
voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God
omnipotent reigneth.
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him:
for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his
wife hath made herself ready.
3 And they sung as it were a new
song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no
man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which
were redeemed from the earth.
-
These Beast here are = zoon = a live thing = these
are at the Throne of God
-
The Vision is in heaven; for the
singers stand before the Throne, and they are with the
Lamb.
-
He is not yet descended to the
Earth.
-
144,000 which
were redeemed from the earth
-
Redeemed = purchased = Rendered "buy"
-
Revelation 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying,
Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open
the seals thereof: for thou wast slain,
and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of
every kindred, and tongue, and people,
and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and
priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many
angels round about the throne and the beasts
and the elders: and the number of them was ten
thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was
slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and
strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
-
This decides the point that it is
the heavenly Zion which is here referred to.
-
The Temple on Earth was close to
Mount Zion; so the Temple in heaven is correspondingly
near to the heavenly Zion.
-
Who can sing this new song?
-
These overcame from the earth, after the elect were
delivered up.
-
Psalms 149:1 Praise ye the LORD. Sing
unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of
saints.
4 These are they which were not defiled
with women; for they are virgins. These are they which
follow the Lamb
whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the
firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
-
Virgins = The reference is
to the pollutions connected with the great
religious system under antichrist in the coming
days.
-
The 144,000 are sealed with God's truth, but
they don't believe until the 7,000 are delivered
up
-
Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven
be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went
forth to meet the bridegroom.
-
The virgins are symbolic of Christians waiting
for the bridegroom, the return of our Lord,
Jesus.
-
Daughters of oil
2 And five of them were
wise, and five were foolish.
Ten mean judgment
What happen when you don't have enough oil?
3 They that were foolish
took their lamps, and took no oil with them
Olive oil is symbolic of truth
Without oil the lamp and Holy Spirit are
quenched. No truth; no light
4 But the
wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 While
the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
Don't be as those who think the bridegroom isn't
coming at all.
You're supposed to be watchmen
Don't fall asleep on your watch.
Don't be caught with no truth in your vessel
144,000 come out of Babel which means confused, after the elect
are delivered up.
Ezekiel 44:10 And
the Levites that are gone away far from me,
when Israel went astray, which went astray away from me
after their idols; they shall even bear their iniquity.
First fruits = Romans 8:23 And not only they,
but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits
of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within
ourselves, waiting for the adoption,
to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is
seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth
he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not,
then do we with patience wait for it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our
infirmities: for we know not what we should pray
for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh
intercession for us with groanings which cannot
be uttered.
5 And in their mouth was found
no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
- They're without fault before the throne of God,
because the have the truth now.
- Romans 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which
have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan
within ourselves, waiting for the adoption,
to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what
a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience
wait for it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not
what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh
intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
6 And
I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting
gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and
kindred, and tongue, and people,
-
The first angel having the word of God
-
An angel preaches the gospel.
-
The word
''nation'' here is ethnos or ethnic groups.
-
The
elect shall teach all, with Christ guiding you
-
While
Satan is locked in the bottomed pit during the millennium
-
Through
the elect, they will be brought to a total understanding of the word
-
Which in
turn will give them total love and grace
-
With
which they too will overcome Satan and his powers
-
When
Satan is loosed out of his prison in Revelation 20:7
-
Revelation 20:7
And
when the thousand years are
expired,
-
Satan
shall be loosed out of his prison
-
In the midst of heaven = Revelation 8:13 And I beheld, and heard an
angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice,
Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other
voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear
God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and
worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of
waters.
- The hour of his judgment is come = the end of the
millennium
- Isaiah 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and
the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is
fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of
the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
-
A second angel followed...Babylon has fallen
-
Many people will be confused
-
Because they have listen to man and did not study God's word
-
Revelation 18:2 And he cried
mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is
fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and
the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and
hateful bird.
-
Isaiah 21:9 And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple
of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen;
and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the
ground.
9 And the third angel
followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and
his image, and receive his mark in
his forehead, or in
his hand,
- Keywords,
his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in
his hand
- The third angel followed them saying, to them that
worshipped Satan
- Worship the beast and his
image
-
The word beasts
are figuratively used to symbolic various
kings or nations. It also
describes the character of
violent and brutal men.
(Revelation 17) (Revelation 13) (Daniel 7 and 11)
-
8th king = Satan standing in Jerusalem saying
he is God
-
7th kingdom = one world government = Satan is
their king
-
Revelation 9:11 And they (one world government)
had a king over them, which is the angel
of the bottomless pit, whose name in
the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the
Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
-
Daniel 7:17 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise
out of the earth.
-
Beast = leaders, governments, kings,
kingdoms
10
The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out
without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented
with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the
presence of the Lamb:
-
The final
judgment will come at the end of the millennium.
-
There
wouldn't be any sense in judging people before they have had a
opportunity to learn the truth.
-
Especially since it is God who sends
this confusion upon them in the first place.
-
Through
the elect teaching during the millennium, Confusion will leave the
earth and they shall all learn the truth.
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up
for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the
beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of
his name.
-
The way
this is translated could be very confusing. If this took place
before the millennium, Then there would be no need for a millennium.
-
This
refers to those who, after being taught in the millennium, Would
again bear the mark of Satan's name.
-
And who will be judged and
found wanting.
-
Revelation 20:8
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four
quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to
battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
12
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments
of God, and the faith of Jesus.
- These
saints are the over comers.
- Psalms 37:1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers,
neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the
green herb.
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and
verily thou shalt be fed.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven
saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from
henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours;
and their works do follow them.
-
Rest = Sabbath = Christ is our Sabbath = Rest in Christ - Every day
-
1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the
old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For
even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:
-
Hebrews 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10
For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his
own works, as God did from his. 11 Let us labour therefore to
enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of
unbelief. 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and
sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing
asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a
discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
-
What can you take with you?
-
When you leave this earth, the only things
you can take with you is,
Your works only
14 And I looked, and behold a white
cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his
head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
- Sickle is for harvest time.
15 And another
angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on
the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to
reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
- Another angel came out of the temple
- In these last five verses, we see
the final harvest. (Matthew 13)
16 And he that sat on the
cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
17
And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having
a sharp sickle.
- Another angel which is in heaven, having a sharp sickle.
- Sickle is used for types of grain
- Angel is harvest grapes not grain
- Grapes are clusters
- Deut 32 = Song of Moses
-
Deuteronomy 32:31-33 = And their vine is of the
vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah, Their grapes are the
grapes of gall, Their clutters are bitter, Their wine is poison of
dragons - their words - flood of lies
18 And another angel came out from the altar, which
had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp
sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the
vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
-
Another angel, which had power over fire
-
You do not harvest grape with a sickle.
-
Let's look at the ''vine of the
earth''
-
Vine = The vine is the vine of the earth
-
Deuteronomy 32:31-33 = ''their
rock'' Satan ''Is not as our Rock'' God, And their vine is of the
vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah, Their grapes are the
grapes of gall, Their clutters are bitter, Their wine is poison of
dragons - their words - flood of lies
-
The cruel venom of asps.
-
Deuteronomy 32:31 For their rock is not as
our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.
32 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of
Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are
bitter: 33 Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel
venom of asps.
-
This is the cup of wrath.
-
Joel 3:12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of
Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round
about.
13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you
down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness
is great.
19 And the angel
thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and
cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
-
This cup is poured out on those that follow Satan or do Satan's
work.
-
What is the winepress?
-
The winepress of the wrath of God.
-
Joel 3:12 Let the heathen be
wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I
sit to judge all the heathen round about.
13 Put ye in the
sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press
is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
20 And the
winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress,
even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred
furlongs.
-
The winepress of the wrath of God.
-
What does Christ state in Matthew 13
-
Matthew 13:38 The field is the world;
the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the
children of the wicked one;
39 The enemy that sowed them is the
devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the
angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the
fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
-
We see in this = why = the angel of
verse 18 had power over fire.
-
This harvest = the end of the
world
-
Everyone is not in the books of God
-
Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small
and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another
book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged
out of those things which were written in the books, according to
their works.
-
Revelation 20 Some shall taste His wrath.
-
A thousand and six hundred furlongs
is a metaphorical way of expressing the exceeding great torments of
those who taste it.
