Revelation 3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
  • Sardis is a merchant town
  • The word means "mother of gods" or, if you would have it so, the mother of false gods
  • They are dead in the truth
  • God said, I know thy works
2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
  • I have not found thy works perfect before God
  • Thy works are the deeds you do
3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
  • Without repentance and love for Him
  • There is no knowledge of the season of His return
  • But, if His servants watch closely
  • He will give them knowledge of the approximate time of His coming
  • What Hour I will come upon thee
  • Hour of temptation
4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
  • They shall walk with me in white: for they are worth = All races
  • Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
    10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
    11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
    12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
    13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
    14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
    15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
    16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
    17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
  • These in Christ the over comer brings about the state of purity
  • That calls for "White Raiment"
  • The over comers in this book are the "first fruits"
6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
  • This verse is saying ...Listen up...let him hear the spirit
  • To them that can hear..with understanding
7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
  • The "key of David" is the knowledge of the true genealogy of Christ
  • As opposed (against) the true genealogy of the false christ
  • It is being able to distinguish between The "wheat group" and the "tare group"
  • It is the knowledge of to whom the truth is written to and what their destiny is to be
  • No man shut, deceive, or sway the mind when the truth of the Christ resides in his heart
  • Israel - Know their fruits, good and bad
  • The tribe of Judah... The Nation Israel.. The Jews
  • Don't be confuse who are the tribe of Judah are...The Jews of Israel and all over the world... they Love the Lord.
  • But...the people that's "Against Christ" are synagogue of Satan. Which say they are Jews, and are NOT...but are the devil's children...Kenites.
  • If you are Against Christ...you are doing the work of devil.
  • The anti-christ denies the existence of the true God.
  • The church of Smyrna and Philadelphia were the only two churches that Christ found no fault with.
  • You have the key of David, if you have the knowledge of these two churches.
  • You know the heritage of the true Christ, and you know the heritage of the Kenites.
  • This key Opens God's truth That no one, not even the enemy, Can shut.
8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
  • I know thy works, He that opened the door, He has given the full truth
  • The key of David allows you to focus on God's word, not man's word.
  • The key of knowledge keeps you from denying the name of Jesus Christ by worshipping the antichrist.
  • The knowledge concerning the identity of the Kenites and their false god will protect the elect
  • Who will not deny His name, and will not accepting the false christ
  • The allows you to focus on God's Word, Not man's word.
9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
  • Learn the Key of David
  • The key of knowledge, the key to the kingdom, and the key of David are all about having the truth which will keep you from being deceived by antichrist.
  • Treasure that key.
  • It is the most valuable thing you can posses.
  • He recognizes those who claim to be God's chosen people
  • But in fact, are the children of Satan
  • Matthew 13, will explains who they are.. In the parables of the tares
  • Note that He says they will worship at our feet
  • Why, because we are with the Lord
  • This is a act of love
  • We will teach and lead them to the fullness of Christ in the Millennium
  • A love for the Christ that is in us
  • The enemy which say they are of Judah will worship at your feet, because you are at the feet of Christ.
  • Every knee will bow to Christ at the beginning of the millennium.
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
  • Because, thou hast kept the word of My patience
  • What hour of temptation?
  • Satan tribulation, by studying God's word. You will know what's going to happen in the last days.
  • Matthew 24, you know you will be deliver up, ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: (You know God's tribulation is after Satan's tribulation, Satan appears at the 6th trump and Christ returns at the 7th trump)
  • Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them (Satan's fallen angels) that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
  • Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
  • Who is death? Satan, The Devil
  • Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
  • God will be ...with His Very Elect
  • Which shall come upon all the world that doesn't have the seal of God in their forehead. (Revelation 9)
11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
  • Hold fast to the truth of Christ
  • So that no man can deceive you
12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
  • Over comers will I make a pillar in the temple of God
  • A Pillar which holds up the temple
  • The phrase "My new name" refers directly to Revelation 2:17
  • Those who do not receive the mark of the beast
  • In their minds - they will have God's seal in their foreheads
  • He will place it in their minds - Verse 10
  • In other words, we will see the contrast between the deceived
  • Those who believe in the false christ and the undeceived, those who believe in the true Christ
  • New Jerusalem, Which cometh down out of heaven
  • Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
  • The millennium Temple = Ezekiel 48:35 It was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be, The Lord is there.
  • Jerusalem will be called, The Lord is There
  • The word ''new'' in Greek is ''kinnos'', which means ''freshness or renew''.
  • It is not a completely new operation, but a renewing of the old.
  • The word rejuvenation would be more fitting.
  • The fact that there will be no more sea can mean two things.
  • We know that if all the people who had ever lived were to return, there would not be adequate living space.
  • However, if the seas disappeared and we had terra firma around the whole globe, there would be.
  • The earth would be watered with a mist that covered the whole earth.
  • It would be watered each night, evenly, in such a way that we would not have rain or storms.
  • We could also interpret this sea to mean that masses of confused people would be ''no more''.
  • Refers to Isaiah 65, New Heavens and earth
  • Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
  • This is post millennium.
  • Note, this is not old Jerusalem as we know it now.
  • But the heavenly Jerusalem. For He brings it with Him.
  • Isaiah 54:1 - very good reading together with this verse.
  • Isaiah 65 -  very good reading together with this verse
  • A bride adorned for her husband
13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
  • Listen Up!
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
  • It's possible to fit many of the churches of today into this mold.
  • They are deceived by the political situation and political one world system, being setup now.
  • They flow through life trying not to step out of line, whether that step be right or wrong.
  • They won't even stand up for Jesus if it's hurt the cash flow.
  • God tells us in the next verse how He will handle these folks.
  • This is the worse church
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
  • I will spue thee out of my mouth
  • Because thou art lukewarm and neither cold or hot
  • Meaning = They do not stand for Christ or nothing else
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
  • They are blind to the truth
  • God has sent them a delusion
  • They think they are rich
  • But they are spiritually poverty stricken
  • They are stripped naked
  • Because they have not the truth.
  • Revelation 19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
  • The fine linen is, your ''righteous acts'' - your works
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see.
  • God wants you as His own.
  • He gives counsel as to how you may be spiritually rich and clothed in purity.
  • The fine linen is, your ''righteous acts'' - your works
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
  • How many times do we tell our own children that we are punishing them because we love them?
  • It's no difficult to understanding what our Father means in this verse.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
  • Note that action is required on our part. We must be willing to open the door and hear His voice with understanding.
  • To "sup" means to share deeper truths. A gracious promise to His servants
  • Stand = Literally have taken my station.
  • Knock = The call to the wedding feast to which the parables pointed, "when He cometh and knocketh".
  • Revelation 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
  • The popular belief that the Lord is ever knocking at the hearts of sinners is a distortion of Scripture akin to blasphemy.
  • Luke 12:35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
    36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
    37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
    38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
  • It says "when I knock at the door"
  • You will hear my voice
  • And then open the door
  • When He calls, you will answer
  • Christ doesn't stand at the door begging
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
  • Understand the love and tenderness in this verse
  • You, the first fruits, will be there with Him
  • As He sits down with the Father
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
  • All seven churches have now been covered
  • It gives us a great deal to think about as we equate their problems with present day problems.
  • We need to be on guard
  • Because the time soon approaches us.
  • There was only two churches God was pleased with.
  • Revelation 3:10 and Matthew 13
