Jesus Is The Bread of Life
John 6:32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily,
verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but
my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from
heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he
that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall
never thirst.
36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me,
and believe not.
John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them,
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of
man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
-
Eat and drink, the Hebrews used this expression
with reference to knowledge by the Metonomy (of
subject) as in Exodus 24:11 where it is put for
being alive, so eating and drinking denoted the
operation of the mind in receiving and "inwardly
digesting" truth or the word of God.
-
Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him
hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To
him that overcometh will I give to eat of the
hidden manna, and will give him a white stone,
and in the stone a new name written, which no
man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
-
Matthew 26:26 And as they were eating, Jesus
took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and
gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat;
this is my body.
-
Matthew 26:27 And he took the cup, and gave
thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye
all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament,
which is shed for many for the remission of
sins.
29 But I say unto you, I will not drink
henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that
day when I drink it new with you in my Father's
kingdom.

Exodus 24:10 And they saw the God of Israel: and
there was under his feet as it were a paved work
of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of
heaven in his clearness.
11 And upon the nobles of the children of Israel
he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did
eat and drink.
12 And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me
into the mount, and be there: and I will give
thee tables of stone, and a law, and
commandments which I have written; that thou
mayest teach them.
-
Jeremiah 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did
eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and
rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy
name, O Lord God of hosts.
-
Deuteronomy 8:2 And thou shalt
remember all the way which the Lord thy God led
thee these forty years in the wilderness, to
humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was
in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his
commandments, or no.
3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to
hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou
knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that
he might make thee know that man doth not live
by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth
out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.
4 Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither
did thy foot swell, these forty years.
54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh
my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Matthew 26:26 And as they were eating, Jesus
took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and
gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat;
this is my body.

Matthew 26:27 And he took the cup, and gave
thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye
all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament,
which is shed for many for the remission of
sins.
29 But I say unto you, I will not drink
henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that
day when I drink it new with you in my Father's
kingdom.
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my
blood is drink indeed.
-
My flesh is meat = word of God = strong meat
belongeth to them that are of full age, meaning
your not a babe in God's word.
-
Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to
be teachers, ye have need that one teach
you again which be the first principles of the
oracles of God; and are become such as have
need of milk, and not of
strong meat.
13 For every one that useth milk is
unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he
is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them
that are of full age, even those who by
reason of use have their senses exercised to
discern both good and evil.

Corinthians 2:6 Howbeit we speak
wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the
wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this
world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery,
even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained
before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew:
for had they known it, they would not have
crucified the Lord of glory.
-
My blood is drink = My blood of the new
testament, which is shed for many for the
remission of sins.
-
With His stripes, Jesus pay the price for our
sins

thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye
all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament,
which is shed for many for the remission of

1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we,
being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye
were healed.
25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the
Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

1 John 5:20 And we know
that the Son of God is come, and hath given us
an understanding, that we may know him that is
true, and we are in him that is true, even in
his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and
eternal life.
-
John 8:31 Then said Jesus
to those Jews which believed on him, If ye
continue in my word, then are ye my disciples
indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth
shall make you free.
56 He that eateth my flesh, and
drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he
that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as
your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread
shall live for ever..
-
This is that bread which comes down from heaven

Jesus is the bread of life
John 1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of
that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh
into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the
world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own
received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become
the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Luke 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake
it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given
for you: this do in remembrance of me.
20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the
new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
21 But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on
the table.
22 And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe
unto that man by whom he is betrayed!
