They Cry Unto The Lord, But He Will Not Hear Them
Micah 3:1 And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the
house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?
-
Jacob = all tribes
-
Children should know right from wrong
-
Prices = judges
-
Hear = This is a continuation of the threatening
against the rulers
-
The leaders doesn't know right from wrong, all
knowledge is gone
-
God's saying they need to be punished
2 Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them,
and their flesh from off their bones;
3 Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and
they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh
within the caldron.
-
This is spiritual = it through taxation, etc..
4 Then shall they cry unto the Lord, but he will not hear them:
he will even
hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill
in
their doings.
-
If My people won't hear Me, I am NOT going to
hear them
-
He's saying, let the sputters help them
-
Why?
-
Because the people love to hear false teaching,
they don't study My Word
-
Hear = God's not going to answer those that
follow other gods
5 Thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite
with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths,
they even prepare war against him.
-
The sputters = through false teaching = they
cause My people to go astray from Me
-
Err = go astray
-
They cry peace but they prepare war against
Him
-
It you listen to false teaching, God's not going
to be there for you when you cry out to Him
-
Bite with their teeth = Alluding to the
idolatrous practices of the heathen round the
altars of Baal, biting an olive in their mouths
and crying "peace", of which the olive was the
symbol.
-
Genesis 8:11 And the dove came in to him in the
evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf
pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were
abated from off the earth.
-
Zech 9:7 And I will take away his blood out of
his mouth, and his abominations from between his
teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be
for our God, and he shall be as a governor in
Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.
-
And he = but against him that putteth not (the
olive) into his mouth they declare war.
-
War = crusade
6 Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it
shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over
the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
-
The famine in the end times = hearing the word
of God
-
Amos 8:10 And I will turn
your feasts into mourning, and all your songs
into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth
upon all loins, and baldness upon every head;
and I will make it as the mourning of an only
son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.
-
Your feasts into mourning = Easter Egg Hunts,
Santa Clauses, your images, etc..
11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that
I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst
for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:
Judges 10:6 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the
gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the
gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the
Philistines, and forsook the Lord, and served not him.
7 And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the
hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon.
8 And that year they vexed and oppressed the children of Israel: eighteen years,
all the children of Israel that were on the other side Jordan in the land of the
Amorites, which is in Gilead.
9 Moreover the children of Ammon passed over Jordan to fight also against Judah,
and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; so that Israel was sore
distressed.
10 And the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, saying, We have sinned
against thee, both because we have forsaken our God, and also served Baalim.
11 And the Lord said unto the children of Israel, Did not I deliver you from the
Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the
Philistines?
12 The Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, did oppress you;
and ye cried to me, and I delivered you out of their hand.
-
2 Chronicles 26:7 And God helped him against the
Philistines, and against the Arabians that dwelt
in Gur-baal, and the Mehunims.
8 And the Ammonites gave gifts to Uzziah: and
his name spread abroad even to the entering in
of Egypt; for he strengthened himself
exceedingly.
13 Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you
no more.
-
I will deliver you no more
14 Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the
time of your tribulation.
-
There comes a time when God will said, Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen
15 And the children of Israel said unto the Lord, We have sinned: do thou unto
us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day.
16 And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the Lord: and
his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.
17 Then the children of Ammon were gathered together, and encamped in Gilead.
And the children of Israel assembled themselves together, and encamped in Mizpeh.
18 And the people and princes of Gilead said one to another, What man is he that
will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall be head over all the
inhabitants of Gilead.
-
Gilead east of Jordan, tribes of Judah, Reuben,
Manasseh
• Exactly 2520 years from the exile
of Benjamin, Iceland became an independent nation.
•
The first tribe to be
conquered by the Assyrians was Manasseh,
in 745 B.C. Exactly 2520 years later America became a nation on July 4, 1776.
(Leviticus. 26: 28-46) God warned Israel that if they persisted in continually
breaking His Laws, not only would curses come upon them.
He would punish them for seven times, (a time being 360 years, seven times would
be 2520 years) and would banish them from the land of Palestine and scatter them
among the heathens (like lost sheep)
