Ephesians 5

Ephesians 5

Ephesians 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
  • Or, imitate God, as children imitate their father.
  • Act like you're the family of God
  • 1 Corinthians 4:16 Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.
2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweets melling savour.
  • Christ is the Saviour of the world, and His blood bought this salvation for the whole world.
3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
  • Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
  • Colossians 1:3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
  • Filthiness = Atheist a person, atheistic, who believes that there is no God. A person who ignores his duty to God; a godless person.
5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
  • An idolater is one who worship another god.
  • We are virgins waiting for our husband, Jesus Christ, Our Lord.
  • We are not idolaters who worship false christ, God's Very Elect will study the word of God.
  • You can't worship Satan and do Satan's work and think you are going to be on the right side of the gulf with the Lord.
6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
  • This is mentioned because of the vain speech, because of what happen in the garden, the deception of Satan.
  • 1 Timothy 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
  • James 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
  • Observe it, but set yourself apart.
  • When you see people go against your government, set yourself apart from them
  • They have sold their birthright for $15 hour, these will lead you to follow Satan, the anti-christ
  • Roman 9:13  As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
  • Genesis 25:34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
  • The mark of the beast = you believe in the ways of the world. You're helping Satan bring in his one Worldism
  • The mark in the hand = your  works, following Satan
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
  • You were sometimes blind or darkness, but now you know the truth; you see the plan of God; you understand the identity; you walk as children of light in the truth.
9 For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;

10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
  • Do things God's ways
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
  • Reprove them, or expose it.
  • Expose the Satanic work of the Kenites as it exists in the world today.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
  • The light is Christ, and the light totally obstructs illuminates this darkness.
13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
  • Ezekiel 37 the dead bones, when Ezekiel prophesied (or taught) to those dead bones, and bone came onto bone and flesh onto flesh.
  • Teach those who are dead to the truth to raise up to a higher spiritually thinking in the truth to understand what is going on in the world for the purpose of helping the people.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
  • Or  use your time wisely.
  • Channel your time to His service.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
  • It becomes so simple when you understand His plan and what His will is.
  • Jesus said, learn the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
  • You'll be relieved of doubts and pressure.
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
  • He didn't say, don't drink wine, he said, be not drunk with it.
  • There's a difference.
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
  • Be happy and praise the Lord.
20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
  • When you give thanks for knowledge or anything else, do it in the name of Jesus name.
  • Pray to the Father and ask in Jesus Name.
21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
  • Have patience with one another in love and reverence of God.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
  • This "church" in Greek means the called-out ones, so you see of whom we speak.. those that Christ Himself called, or the elect, and this does not have to do with the millennium.
  • It is addressing this dispensation.
  • The husband is the head of the wife, means he is to keep her safe, love her and take care of her.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
  • As the elect are subject to Christ, so these families of the Gentiles should take pride in themselves, yet by becoming Christians, they would also be subject to Christ.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
  • Love your wife, and also wives love your husband.
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
  • Or, the truth in His case, was the blood.
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
  • The Greek word for spot is of unknown derivative, but it indicates a stain.
  • His crucifixion was a sacrifice He made to destroy death and obliterate sin so that the kingdom, which shall be made up of His church, can be without stain - Pure and Holy.
  • The church of course is composed of His people, those who accept Jesus Christ.
  • In regard to those different families who accept Jesus Christ and make up the whole of His Kingdom, each shall be in its own place, as we are told in Revelation. There is no mixing.
  • Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
  • Revelation 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
  • They (the Gentiles) will be priest of their own people. They will come into the millennium temple with the Lord, and  they will be teaching their own people the laws of God.
  • Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
  • Love each other as one.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
  • Nourisheth and Cherisheth = 1 Thessalonians 2:7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
  • Shall be one flesh - men and their wives being one flesh, Love your wife even as himself; and wife love your husband as you want him to love you, as Christ loves His own body, the church.
  • Love your husband - Love your wife as one - meaning the same
  • Love your wife even as himself; and wife love your husband as you want him to love you
  • 1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
  • Understand what Paul up against.
  • At this time, the Gentile was on the out side, so to speak.
  • In regard to God's covenants, they were not included, and he spoke in mysteries (or parables), you might say not only to protect himself, but also to protect this hidden truth in relation to the adoption from the church of that day and time.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
  • Understand there is a personal lesson given here on the husband and wife relationship, but I am saying, in addition Paul said far more.
