Fire and Elements
2 Peter 3:9 The
Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count
slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any
should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in
the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and
the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and
the works that are therein shall be burned up.

The Elements is to destroy the evil things, the works of
this earth age that is evil.

Hebrew 12:29 For our
God is a consuming fire.
11 Seeing
then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of
persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
Hebrews 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved,
let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence
and godly fear:
29 For our God is a consuming fire.
Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all
with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty
wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it
sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with
other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every
nation under heaven.
6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were
confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold,
are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
Jeremiah 17:4 And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine
heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies
in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine
anger, which shall burn for ever.
5 Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and
maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.

good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in
a salt land and not inhabited.

Ezekiel 8:2 Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance
of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward,
fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance
of brightness, as the colour of amber.
3 And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine
head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and
the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the
door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat
of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.
