Husbands Love Your Wife
Husbands Love Your Wife and Be Not Bitter
Against Your Wife
In Ephesians 5, Paul explains that Christ is to His church as a man
is to his wife.
Ephesians
5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the
name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
21 Submitting yourselves one to another
in the fear of God.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your
own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the
wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the Saviour of
the body.
-
The husband is
the head of the wife, Why?
-
Husbands are to work and take care of their
wife and keep her safe.
-
1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide
not for his own, and specially for those of his own house,
he hath
denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
-
Infidel = # G4103 =
disbelieving, without Christian faith, untrustworthy or that believeth not,
faithless, infidel, unbeliever
-
Provide = Romans 12:17 Recompense to no man
evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
-
Ephesians 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up
in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
-
Don't disciples unwisely
-
Teach your family the difference between right and wrong
-
The man is to teach his family to live, in the ways of
Christ, not as the world.
-
Bring his family up, as the Lord teaching him.
24 Therefore as the church is subject
unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as
Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
-
God said, love your wife, As Christ also loved the church
-
If you love the Lord, You will
Love your wife
-
Keep her safe. Means to do what's right, work and
take care of her and keep her safe
-
Teach the word of God, teach your family what's right and wrong
-
Did it say, man to beat his wife or wife beat your
husband
-
It said
= Love
your wife even as himself; and wife love your husband as you want
him to love you, as Christ loves His
own body, the church.
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse
it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself
a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but
that it should be holy and without blemish.
-
The church of course is composed of His people,
those who accept Jesus Christ.
28 So ought men to love their wives as
their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own
flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of
his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his
father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall
be one flesh.
-
Shall be one flesh - men and their
wives being one flesh, Love your wife
even as himself; and wife love your husband as you want him to love
you, as Christ loves His
own body, the church.
-
Love your husband -
Love your wife as one - meaning the same
- Love your wife even as himself; and
wife love your husband as you want him to love you
- 1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide
not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath
denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
- The apostle does not once hint that Christ is the husband, or
that the church is the wife, but uses the "great mystery" of Eph 5:32 in
regard to the reciprocal obligations of husband and wife.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak
concerning Christ and the church.
-
Shall be one flesh - men and their
wives being one flesh, Love your wife
even as himself; and wife love your husband as you want him to love
you, as Christ loves His
own body, the church.
-
Colossians 2:2 That their hearts might be comforted,
being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full
assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of
God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
3 In whom are hid all the
treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
-
Teach the word of God, teach your family what's right and wrong
33 Nevertheless let every
one of you in particular so love his wife even as
himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to
himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such
thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So
ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He
that loveth his wife
loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated
his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the
Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his
body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause
shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined
unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This
is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the
church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in
particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see
that she reverence her husband.
Matthew 19:4 And he answered and said
unto them,
Have ye
not read, that he which made
them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 And said, For
this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his
wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
6 Wherefore they are no
more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let
not man put asunder.
7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then
command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
8
He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts
suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not
so.
9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife,
except it be for fornication, and shall marry another,
committeth
adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
-
If two can not get alone, ask forgiven from God, and get a bill of
divorce
-
Fornication Greek Word NT:4202 = from NT:4203; harlotry (including
adultery and incest); figuratively, idolatry = to act the
harlot, (literally) indulge unlawful lust (of either sex), or
(figuratively) practise idolatry
-
Idolatry = image-worship (literally or figuratively) from NT:1491;
an image ( for worship); by implication, a heathen god, or (plural)
the worship of such: idol.
-
It is Satan's law to hate women, without women there would not be
any men.

18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own

-
Did Jesus said, beat your wife keep her in fear?
-
Jesus said: Ephesians 5:
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as
Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
-
What's fornication and Idolatry?
-
Colossians 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the
earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil
concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
-
Gal 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under
the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these;
Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance,
emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and
such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you
in time past, that they which do such things shall not
inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the
affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Divorce is not the unforgiving sin

The Lord divorce Israel
-
Jeremiah 3:8 And I saw, when for
all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had
put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous
sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
-
After forgiven you can married again and take part in the church
-
1 Peter 3:18
For
Christ also hath once suffered for sins,
the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to
death in the flesh, but
quickened by the
Spirit:
-
Matthew 18:21 Then came Peter to
him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I
forgive him? till seven times?
22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not
unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
-
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and
be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of
refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
-
Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the
handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to
us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
-
Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge
you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the
new moon, or of the Sabbath days:
10 His disciples say unto him, If the
case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
11
But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to
whom it is given.
1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands,
dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as
unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of
life; that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Finally, be ye all of
one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be
pitiful, be courteous:
Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word
or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and
the Father by him.
18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own
husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
19 Husbands, love your wives,
and be not bitter against them.
-
God said, love your wife, be not
bitter against her
