Number 28
No more burnt offering. Christ died on the cross, nailing our sins to
the cross. For even
Christ our Passover is
sacrificed for us:
Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the
handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us,
and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.
1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may
be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our
Passover is sacrificed for us:
This has nothing to do with the laws.
Number 28:1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, My offering, and my
bread for my sacrifices made by fire, for a sweet savour unto me, shall
ye observe to offer unto me in their due season.
-
Offer = Bring near
-
Due season = appointed time
3 And thou shalt say unto them, This is the
offering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the Lord; two lambs of
the first year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering.
-
Without spot = Without blemish
-
One morning and one in the evening
-
Jesus died on cross for our sins, nailing our
sins to the cross.
4 The one lamb shalt thou offer in the morning, and
the other lamb shalt thou offer at even;
5 And a tenth part of an ephah of flour for a meat
offering, mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil.
-
Meat Offering = Gift offering
-
Measures - App 51
6 It is a continual burnt offering, which was
ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire
unto the Lord.
7 And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of an hin for
the one lamb: in the holy place shalt thou cause the strong wine to be
poured unto the Lord for a drink offering.
-
Drink = poured out
-
Strong wine = strong drink = old wine
8 And the other lamb shalt thou offer at even: as
the meat offering of the morning, and as the drink offering thereof,
thou shalt offer it, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto
the Lord.

Hebrew 4 = Today Our Rest today is Christ
-
We are to put our rest in Christ every day
-
Hebrew 4:1 Let us therefore
fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into
His rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
-
Hebrews 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10
For he that is entered into His rest, he also hath ceased from his
own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to
enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of
unbelief.
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and
sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing
asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a
discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
9 And on the Sabbath day two lambs of the first
year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering,
mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof:
-
Olive oil = symbolized to the Holy Spirit
10 This is the burnt offering of every Sabbath,
beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.
11 And in the beginnings of your months ye shall
offer a burnt offering unto the Lord; two young bullocks, and one ram,
seven lambs of the first year without spot;
-
Col 2:11 In whom also ye
are circumcised with the circumcision made
without hands, in putting off the body of the
sins of the flesh by the circumcision of
Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye
are risen with him through the faith of the
operation of God, who hath raised him from the
dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the
uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened
together with him, having forgiven you
all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of
ordinances that was against us, which
was contrary to us, and took it out of the way,
nailing it to his cross;
-
Hos 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not
sacrifice; and the knowledge of God
more than burnt offerings.
7 But they like men have transgressed the
covenant: there have they dealt treacherously
against me.
-
I desired mercy =
God wants your love.
12 And three tenth deals of flour for a meat
offering, mingled with oil, for one bullock; and two tenth deals of
flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, for one ram;
13 And a several tenth deal of flour mingled with oil for a meat
offering unto one lamb; for a burnt offering of a sweet savour, a
sacrifice made by fire unto the Lord.
14 And their drink offerings shall be half an hin of wine unto a
bullock, and the third part of an hin unto a ram, and a fourth part of
an hin unto a lamb: this is the burnt offering of every month throughout
the months of the year.
15 And one kid of the goats for a sin offering unto the Lord shall be
offered, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.
16 And in the fourteenth day of the first month is
the Passover of the Lord.
- When do we celebrate Passover?
- March 20, 2015 = Spring Equinox (that evening)
- Now count 14 days past Spring Equinox, and that evening is the 15th day, that is
when Passover begins.
- Passover this year is April 3, 2015, 6:00 PM
- Lev 23:4 These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye
shall proclaim in their seasons.
- 5 In the fourteenth day
of the first month at even is the Lord's Passover.
Exodus 20:8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
-
1 Corinthians 5:3 For I verily, as absent in body,
but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present,
concerning him that hath so done this deed,
4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together,
and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the
flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day
of the Lord Jesus.
6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth
the whole lump?
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye
are unleavened. For even
Christ our Passover is
sacrificed for us:
- Christ is our Passover,
- 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven
of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
17 And in the fifteenth day of this month is the
feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten.
-
Today we have the bread of life which is Jesus
Christ
18 In the first day shall be an holy convocation;
ye shall do no manner of servile work therein:
19 But ye shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt offering unto
the Lord; two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first
year: they shall be unto you without blemish:
20 And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil: three
tenth deals shall ye offer for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram;
21 A several tenth deal shalt thou offer for every lamb, throughout the
seven lambs:
22 And one goat for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you.
-
Atonement = Was a Sin offering
-
Ex 29:33 And they shall eat those things
wherewith the atonement was made, to consecrate
and to sanctify them: but a stranger shall not
eat thereof, because they are holy.
-
Genesis 6:14
Make thee an ark of gopher wood;
rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without
with pitch.
-
Pitch meaning: to cover, make, an atonement,
cleanse, it's the only word used
for atonement - keep the cover over your head.
-
1 Cor 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it
is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom,
neither the churches of God.
23 Ye shall offer these beside the burnt offering
in the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering.
24 After this manner ye shall offer daily, throughout the seven days,
the meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord:
it shall be offered beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink
offering.
25 And on the seventh day ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do
no servile work.
26 Also in the day of the first fruits, when ye bring a new meat
offering unto the Lord, after your weeks be out, ye shall have an holy
convocation; ye shall do no servile work:
-
Lev 23:10 Speak unto the
children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye
be come into the land which I give unto you, and
shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall
bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your
harvest unto the priest:
-
Lev 23:15 And ye shall
count unto you from the morrow after the
Sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf
of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be
complete:
16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh
Sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall
offer a new meat offering unto the Lord.
17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations two
wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of
fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven;
they are the first fruits unto the Lord.
18 And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs
without blemish of the first year, and one young
bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt
offering unto the Lord, with their meat
offering, and their drink offerings, even an
offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the
Lord.
19 Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats
for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first
year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.
20 And the priest shall wave them with the bread
of the first fruits for a wave offering before
the Lord, with the two lambs: they shall be holy
to the Lord for the priest.
21 And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day,
that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye
shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a
statute for ever in all your dwellings
throughout your generations.
27 But ye shall offer the burnt offering for a
sweet savour unto the Lord; two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of
the first year;
28 And their meat offering of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals
unto one bullock, two tenth deals unto one ram,
29 A several tenth deal unto one lamb, throughout the seven lambs;
30 And one kid of the goats, to make an atonement for you.
31 Ye shall offer them beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat
offering, (they shall be unto you without blemish) and their drink
offerings.
