Two Edged Sword - The Word of God

 

Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

• The helmet protects the head and salvation comes from the Saviour Himself, and what is your weapon?
• Revelation 1:16, The sword, which is the word of God.
• John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
• If you Love Me, keep my commandments
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
• What is the Comforter? The Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit
• Who shall teach you? He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
• What did He say, The Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive
• Ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
• He talking to His Very Elect
• He will be using His very elect as a tool to speak through them. His word, the truth is the two-edged sword, the Holy Spirit of God will speak through you.
• Babylon, which comes from the Hebrew word ''babel'', means confusion.
• This sword of truth is going to cause, present day Babylon to fall, Because a lie cannot stand in front of truth.

Hebrew 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

• His word, the truth is the two-edged sword
• Babylon which comes from the Hebrew word ''Babel'', means confusion.
• This sword of truth is going to cause present day Babylon to fall.
• Because a lie cannot stand in front of truth.

Revelation 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

• What comes from your mouth other than your voice?
• Matthew 24:9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
  10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
• 11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

• This sword is His word, His truth, and we will carry this word forth.

Revelation 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

• Out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, His word, the truth.
• He declares war and His weapon is the truth.
• Psalms 14:2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

Revelation 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF LordS.

• Here we see the false christ gather the world governments and its armies into one force.

Revelation 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

• The words ''remnant'' in the original  text read ''the rest''.
• This verse should read, and the rest were slain with the sword.
• What is the sword? The word of God
• The last trumpet indeed has sounded. The King Of Kings, and Lord of Lords
• He now controls, de facto heaven and earth.
• Alleluia; salvation, and glory and honor and power unto the Lord our God

Psalms 149:6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

 

Satan's sword is his power, false sword, Flood of lies, confusion

 

Ezekiel 32:11 For thus saith the Lord God; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon thee.

• God's sword is the sword of truth
• Satan's sword is the sword of lies

• Revelation 12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
• Revelation 12:16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
• Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
• Woman = Babylon = means confusion or deception

Ye stand upon your sword, ye work abomination = False teaching = let's all be one big family with other gods

 

Ezekiel 33:25 Wherefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Ye eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes toward your idols, and shed blood: and shall ye possess the land?

26 Ye stand upon your sword, ye work abomination, and ye defile every one his neighbour's wife: and shall ye possess the land?

• Ye stand upon your sword, ye work abomination = False teaching
• Sword = God's word
• But they teach upon their words with abomination

Ezekiel 33:31 And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

 

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

 

Daniel 3:19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

• These three would not worship Nebuchadnezzar image.
• Nebuchadnezzar commanded to put them in the furnace.
• Nebuchadnezzar commanded them to heat up the furnace 7 times hotter.

20 And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

21 Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

• Why was it indicated here that they were dressed and all this?
• Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
• These  three wore the armor of God, not physically, but spiritual.
• They had His shield.
• They had His sword, which is the truth.

22 Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego.

• The fire was so hot that those who carried the three there were burned and died.

23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellers, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.

25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

• No wonder the king was astonished.
• These three were walking free and unhurt in the midst of this fiery hell on earth, and there was a fourth with them like unto Christ.
• When you find yourself in this position, Christ Himself will also be with you and speak through you.
• Mark 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.
• The Holy Spirit will be with you literally.
• Note that Nebuchadnezzar saw Christ with his own eyes.
• He was there.

26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

 

What is the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is one sent (John 14:26). He goeth forth from the throne, and serves in behalf of the throne. He is God himself imparted to work in his elect the good pleasure of his own will, making his grace availing in them and for them, filling them with "all peace and joy in believing," helping their infirmities, witnessing to their adoption, and carrying into effect all the divine administrations of the kingdom of grace.

 

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

• If you Love Me, keep my commandments

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

• I will pray to the Father
• he shall give you another Comforter
• That he may abide with you for ever
• What is the Comforter?
• Verse 26, The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, means Holy Spiritual

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

• I will not leave you, I will come to you

19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

• The world seeth me no more
• but ye see me, I live, ye shall live
• Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
  7 As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.
