Two Women In Revelation
First Woman Mother Israel
Revelation 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with
the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve
stars:
-
This verse, as we all know, this
woman is speaking of mother Israel.
-
Twelve stars - The zodiac
representing the Israel nation.
Revelation 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he
persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
- Woman = mother Israel
- Dragon verse 9 = Satan
14 And to the
woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the
wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times,
and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
-
Daniel 7:24 And the ten horns out of this
kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after
them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue
three kings.
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall
wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and
laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a
time and times and the dividing of time.
26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his
dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.
-
This period represents the 3 1/2
years of Satan's reign that was shortened to five months as
mentioned in Revelation 9:27
-
Deuteronomy 32:11 As an eagle
stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth
abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
-
Stirreth = open the eyes = God open our eyes to His Word.
-
This is how God teaches you = Through His
Nature
-
The woman Israel = the two wings
-
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the
Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up
with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.
-
Deuteronomy 32:12
So the LORD alone did lead him, and there
was no strange god with him.
-
When the children were in the wildness, God took care of them
Second Woman Babylon - The Great city Is Babylon or state of
confusion poured out on the people
Revelation 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that
great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
-
The "great city is Babylon, or
state of confusion
-
The one world order, The Woman
Jezebe, The "great city is Babylon, or
state of confusion
-
Revelation 2:20
Notwithstanding I have a few things
against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel,
which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce
my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto
idols.
-
Revelation 2:23 And I will kill her children with
death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto
every one of you according to your works.
- Mystery in Greek means (to shut the mouth); a secret or "mystery"
(through the idea of silence imposed by initiation into religious
rites) (to changes their religion at the 4th trump)
-
The whole world is watching and
waiting for the return of Christ
-
People will bow down and worship
Satan when he comes, they will think he is Christ.
-
Because of the lies = confusion = deception
-
People do not studies the
word of God?
-
Will you know from the scriptures,
that the True Messiah will come at the Seventh trumpet.. not the
sixth trumpet.
Revelation 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and
scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and
pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and
filthiness of her fornication:
-
The great city having a wondrous and attractive idolatrous full of
abominations, having the unclean provisions for her idolatrous
practices.
-
The great city is described as having all luxuries, combined
with her idolatrous worship.
-
The woman = The "great city is Babylon, or
state of confusion - verse 18
-
A golden cup in her hand full of
abominations and
filthiness of her fornication: We see that the system
accumulates great material wealth.
-
Her cup is the filthiness of her
deception = idolatry
-
Jeremiah 51:7 Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD's hand, that made
all the
earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her; therefore the
nations are mad.
8 Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for
her pain, if so she may be healed.
-
What make her a harlots?
-
Deceptions
-
Purple and scarlet = royal
5 And upon her forehead was a name written,
MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND
ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
- Mystery in Greek means (to shut the mouth); a secret or "mystery"
(through the idea of silence imposed by initiation into religious
rites)(to changes their religion)
- Can you see this particular beast is directly
connected with Babylon
- What does the word, "Babylon," mean?
- The word Babylon in Hebrew comes from the base word, Babel, which
simply means confusion, deception and abominations.
-
Her cup is the filthiness of her
deception = idolatry
- Is this woman a city in the world today?
- No. It is a state of deception and confusion, and as it is used in
Revelation, it applies to the deception of the last days.
- A Wicked system, in her mind is the word Mystery, yet, there is no
mystery for us.
- Matthew 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given
unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it
is not given.
- Babylon the great or Great Confusion, we see this within her
- 1 Corinthians 14:33 - Shows us that Our God is not the author of
confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
- Mother of harlots and abomination, She is a parent to the evil
offspring of idolatry.
- Luke 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify
yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is
highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the
blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus:
and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
-
Admiration (2295) Admiration should be wonder
with great
astonishment
-
I saw the city with a great wonder.
-
We are astonished when we see this
woman (confusion), who is made up in part by our own people.
7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore
didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the
woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath
the seven heads and ten horns.
-
Who going to tell us the mystery of the woman?
-
The angel
-
The beast that carrieth her, which hath
the seven heads and ten horns.
-
The woman and beast are first mentioned in
brief; and then the explanation is given in
full, the order being inverted.
-
First the beast is explained, and then the
woman.
-
Ten verses (8-17) are given to the former, and
only one (verse 18) to the latter; so that the
beast is now, evidently, the more important of
the two subjects.
-
We shall have to expand the member consisting of
this structure concerning "the beast" being
first.
