Two Women In Revelation

First Woman Mother Israel

Revelation 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
  • This verse, as we all know, this woman is speaking of mother Israel.
  • Twelve stars - The zodiac representing the Israel nation.

Revelation 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

  • Woman = mother Israel
  • Dragon verse 9 = Satan

14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

  • Daniel 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
    25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
    26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.
  • This period represents the 3 1/2 years of Satan's reign that was shortened to five months as mentioned in Revelation 9:27
  • Deuteronomy 32:11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
  • Stirreth = open the eyes = God open our eyes to His Word.
  • This is how God teaches you = Through His Nature
  • The woman Israel = the two wings
  • Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
  • Deuteronomy 32:12 So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.
  • When the children were in the wildness, God took care of them
Second Woman Babylon - The Great city Is Babylon or state of confusion poured out on the people
 
Revelation 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
  • The "great city is Babylon, or state of confusion
  • The one world order, The Woman Jezebe, The "great city is Babylon, or state of confusion
  • Revelation 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
  • Revelation 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
  • Mystery in Greek means (to shut the mouth); a secret or "mystery" (through the idea of silence imposed by initiation into religious rites) (to changes their religion at the 4th trump)
  • The whole world is watching and waiting for the return of Christ
  • People will bow down and worship Satan when he comes, they will think he is Christ.
  • Because of the lies = confusion = deception
  • People do not  studies the word of God?
  • Will you know from the scriptures, that the True Messiah will come at the Seventh trumpet.. not the sixth trumpet.
Revelation 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
  • The great city having a wondrous and attractive idolatrous full of abominations, having the unclean provisions for her idolatrous practices.
  • The great city  is described as having all luxuries, combined with her idolatrous worship.
  • The woman = The "great city is Babylon, or state of confusion - verse 18
  • A golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: We see that the system accumulates great material wealth.
  • Her cup is the filthiness of her deception = idolatry
  • Jeremiah 51:7 Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD's hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her; therefore the nations are mad.
    8 Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so she may be healed.
  • What make her a harlots?
  • Deceptions
  • Purple and scarlet = royal
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

  • Can you see this particular beast is directly connected with Babylon
  • What does the word, "Babylon," mean?
  • The word Babylon in Hebrew comes from the base word, Babel, which simply means confusion, deception and abominations.
  • Her cup is the filthiness of her deception = idolatry
  • Is this woman a city in the world today? 
  • No. It is a state of deception and confusion, and as it is used in Revelation, it applies to the deception of the last days.
  • A Wicked system, in her mind is the word Mystery, yet, there is no mystery for us.
  • Matthew 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
  • Babylon the great or Great Confusion, we see this within her
  • 1 Corinthians 14:33 - Shows us that Our God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
  • Mother of harlots and abomination, She is a parent to the evil offspring of idolatry.
  • Luke 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
  • Admiration (2295) Admiration should be wonder with great astonishment
  • I saw the city with a great wonder.
  • We are astonished when we see this woman (confusion), who is made up in part by our own people.
7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
  • Who going to tell us the mystery of the woman?
  • The angel
  • The beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
  • The woman and beast are first mentioned in brief; and then the explanation is given in full, the order being inverted.
  • First the beast is explained, and  then the woman.
  • Ten verses (8-17) are given to the former, and only one (verse 18) to the latter; so that the beast is now, evidently, the more important of the two subjects.
  • We shall have to expand the member consisting of this structure concerning "the beast" being first.
