Habakkuk 3

 

Habakkuk 3:1 A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth.

• Shigionoth = A crying aloud
• Let the false teacher shut up.
• Teach God's word.

2 O Lord, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.

• Heard Thy speech = heard Thy hearing
• Speech = hearing = Put by Figure of speech, for what was heard here = Thy fame
• Afraid. = In awe
• Revive = renew, in the sense of repeating, doing over again.
• Work = "works" = doings
• Years = for the afflictions suffered in them, or "wrath" manifested in them.
• In the midst = this is the only place where it refers to time.
• Had Habakkuk learnt, like Daniel?
• Make known = make "Thyself" known. The Hebrew = by repeating now what Thou hast done in the past
• Wrath = As manifested in present affliction; showing what is meant by "years", above.
• Mercy = compassion = "I will meditate on Thy doings of old"

3 God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.

• Selah = Connecting His coming forth with the glorious effects of it.

4 And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.

• Horns = power
• For the power put forth by them  = Hebrew dual = two rays = could this be the two witnesses?
• Coming out of = from power from "His" hands "is "His.
• The hiding = hiding (or concealing) of His "full" power.
• Numbers 16:46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the Lord; the plague is begun.

5 Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.

• Before Him went = "As He went forth to conquer for His People before Him went"
• Burning coals: or, lightning = diseases with fever
• Deuteronomy 32:24 They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.
• Devoured with burning heat = Diseases = Fever
• Satan people are going to have their way with you
• The one world system (Revelation 13)
25 The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.
• Satan has a sword of lies, a flood of lies
• Revelation 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
• What comes from your mouth, other than your voice?
• His word, the truth is the two-edged sword, the very voice of God, The Holy Spirit.
• Babylon, which comes from the Hebrew word ''babel'', means confusion
• This sword of truth is going to cause present day Babylon to fall
• Because a lie cannot stand in front of truth.
• He will be using His elect as a tool to speak through them
26 I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:
• Where are they?
• The tribe of Israel, some do not know who they are. Most do not care, they  have listen to men
• He not talking about Judah
• Judah knows who they are.
• They know they are Jews, they don't claim to b of the twelve tribes of Israel
• The tribe of Judah, became the Nation Israel May 14, 1948
• Deuteronomy 32:27 Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the LORD hath not done all this.
• The enemies are saying, we have taking them over and they don't even know it.
28 For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.
• Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
• Fools said there is no God, Stupid people just laugh at them, with their little signs.
29 O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!
• They would consider their latter end
30 How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?
31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.
• Lower = r = their rock = their god = Satan
• Ezekiel 28 = Tyrus means rock
• Ezekiel 28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
  13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
• Ezekiel 28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
  19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

6 He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.

• Stood = Shaken
• The Lord is going to shake the earth and the heaven
• All this has to do with the end
• Hebrew 12:25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:  26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
  27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
  28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
  29 For our God is a consuming fire.

7 I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.

• Cushan = blackness = Satan is darkness
• Satan's people will draw you  into this one Worldism. If you don't have the seal of God in your forehead

8 Was the Lord displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation?

• Knowledge will come unto the world
• Rivers = people ( Revelation 17)
• Horse = power
• Mark 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
• God's Two Witnesses comes, guiding the very elect
• Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
  6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
• Verse 9  God's Elect will be deliver up
• Act 2 Pentecost Day
• Act 2:6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.
Thy wrath = 7th vial

9 Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers.

• Selah = stop and think = this is the promises
• Israel 43:26 Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.

10 The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high.

11 The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.

12 Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.

• God going separate the good from the bad

13 Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.

• Foundation = before this earth age

14 Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly.

• Kenites has their nets = to catch all those that haven't study God's word
• Remember Revelation 12 = Satan drew 1/3 of God's children to follow him
• You do not want to be in Satan's nets of lies = confusion

15 Thou didst walk through the sea with thine horses, through the heap of great waters.

16 When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.

• Those that have study and know God's Plan has nothing to worry about, God's going to be with you

17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:

18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

• God's going help those that have the seal of God in their forehead
• Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
• Who's them?
• Satan and his fallen angels

19 The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

• God gives us free will, If you go the ways of the world, God's not going to be there for you.
• You make that choice to follow Satan (Revelation 9:4)
• God likeness these locusts to men = they come in groups = false teachers = the book of Joel = Rev 9

• Exactly 2520 years from the exile of Benjamin, Iceland became an independent nation.

 

•  The first tribe to be conquered by the Assyrians was Manasseh, in 745 B.C. Exactly 2520 years later America became a nation on July 4, 1776.

(Leviticus. 26: 28-46) God warned Israel that if they persisted in continually breaking His Laws, not only would curses come upon them.

He would punish them for seven times, (a time being 360 years, seven times would be 2520 years) and would banish them from the land of Palestine and scatter them among the heathens (like lost sheep)
