Isaiah 24
Book of Isaiah
Isaiah 24:1 Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it
waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants
thereof.

Isaiah 24:3 The land shall be utterly emptied,
and utterly spoiled: for the Lord hath spoken
this word.
2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the
servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as
with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the
borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.

Leader = the borrower

Exodus 22:25 If thou lend money to any of my
people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be
to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon
him usury.
26 If thou at all take thy neighbour's raiment
to pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him by
that the sun goeth down:
27 For that is his covering only, it is his
raiment for his skin: wherein shall he sleep?
and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto
me, that I will hear; for I am gracious.

Deut 15:2 And this is the manner of the release:
Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his
neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact
it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because
it is called the Lord's release.
3 Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again: but
that which is thine with thy brother thine hand
shall release;
3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the Lord
hath spoken this word.

Ezekiel 36:4 Therefore, ye mountains of
Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus
saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the
hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the
desolate wastes, and to the cities that are
forsaken, which became a prey and derision to
the residue of the heathen that are round
about;

Ezekiel 12:20 And the cities that are
inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land
shall be desolate; and ye shall know that I am
the LORD.
4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth
away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.

The world = the habitable world
-
The world languisheth and fadeth away.. languish
-
The earth = This is one of the three places
where (in Hebrew) one verse ends with "the
earth" and the next verse begins with "the
earth".

The other two passages are Genesis 1:1-2 and
Hosea 2:23-24

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the
Heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and
darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the
Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Hosea 2:22 And the earth shall hear the corn,
and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear
Jezreel.
23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and
I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained
mercy; and I will say to them which were not my
people, Thou art my people; and they shall say,
Thou art my God.
5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they
have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the
everlasting covenant.

6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell
therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned,
and few men left.

Desolate = laid waste
7 The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merry hearted do
sigh.
8 The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth,
the joy of the harp ceaseth.

There's nothing to celebrate
9 They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to
them that drink it.
10 The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no
man may come in.

Confusion = desolation

Vanity = Isaiah 40:17 All nations before him are as nothing; and they are
counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.
18 To whom then will ye liken God? or what
likeness will ye compare unto him?
19 The workman melteth a graven image, and the
goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and
casteth silver chains.
20 He that is so impoverished that he hath no
oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he
seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a
graven image, that shall not be moved.
21 Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it
not been told you from the beginning? have ye
not understood from the foundations of the
earth?
22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the
earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as
grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as
a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to
dwell in:
23 That bringeth the princes to nothing; he
maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.
11 There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the
mirth of the land is gone.

Darkened is Satan. Satan's ways
12 In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with
destruction.

Desolation = astonishment
13 When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people,
there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning
grapes when the vintage is done.
14 They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of
the Lord, they shall cry aloud from the sea.

They're going to be singing the Song of Moses
-
Revelation 15:2 And
I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that
had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and
over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea
of glass, having the harps of God.
-
These who had gotten ''victory''
are the overcomers. These have studied to show themselves approved.
-
They are those that knew what was going on.
-
And had actually
overcome the beast (Satan)
-
Who is the false Christ?
-
We know that the mark was put on
Cain in the garden.
-
The sea of glass is a sea of
purity, absolute purity.
-
They are standing upon a ground of
purity.
-
Remember the elders mentioned
earlier in other chapters.
-
They were standing on the sea of
glass.
-
Revelation 4:6 show us that the
sea
of glass is before the throne.
-
Revelation 4:6 And before the throne there
was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the
throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes
before and behind.

Mark of the beast = The number of his name = you know what's happen
at the 6th seal, 6th trumpet and 6th vial.
3 And they sing the
song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb,
saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty;
just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
They, God's Elect will be singing
the Song of Moses
The Elect are singing these songs,
These are the over comers of the world
This song is simple knowledge of
God's word
Let's note there are two songs they
were singing.
The song of Moses and The song of
The Lamb
Moses is the law, and The Lamb is
grace
The law has not been changed
according to Jesus
Who are the elect?
The
elect
destiny is to lead people to the knowledge concerning, Who the Kenites
are.
15 Wherefore glorify ye the Lord in the fires, even the name of the Lord
God of Israel in the isles of the sea.

Isles = maritime countries
16 From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory
to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the
treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous
dealers have dealt very treacherously.

The righteous = the righteous one (sing)
-
The one referred to in verse 15 or the nation
-
I said = I had said, the land
-
My leanness, my leanness, for emphasis
-
This figure is used thrice in the "former"
portion (here, and Isaiah 26:3, and Isaiah 29:1)
and twice in the "latter" portion
-
Treacherous dealers = traitors have betrayed
17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the
earth.
-
Fear, and the pit, and the snare = not a "play
on words", but for great and solemn emphasis.
-
In Hebrew = Scare, liar, snare
18 And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the
fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of
the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are
open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.

7th trump = God has taken over
19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the
earth is moved exceedingly.
-
7th vial = God wrath poured out
20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed
like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it;
and it shall fall, and not rise again.

Reel to fro = staggering, staggereth, removed

Hebrew Rocketh = to fro

Transgression = revolt
21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall punish
the
host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon
the earth.

Those that claim to have a kingship and don't
22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the
pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they
be visited.
23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the Lord
of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his
ancients gloriously.

Confounded = blush (from shame)

Ashamed = turn pale= from fear

Ancients = elders
