Isaiah 61                                                           Book of Isaiah    

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

• Anointed me = Christ
• If you're in prison of this world. Ask God to help you. Ask God to give you strength to over come the world of sin

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

• All that mourn = the elect will mourn,
• Why?
• Because of your family, they have been deceived by Satan

3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

• These stand for Christ = God's very elect
• Revelation 17:8 - Who name are in the book of life, those that stood against Satan in the first earth age.
•  The very elect are going to help God directly in His work. What a glorious time is ahead. His goodness will let the elect (seven thousand that stood against Satan without wavering), being the first fruits, that would suffer for Him in the near future and bring this age into the millennium, which is the Lord's day. They will prove their right of being God's elect by standing against Satan again, being delivered up and being a witness for Christ's sake.
• Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
  5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.

4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

• The time of the millennium
• They = the very elect

5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

• The time of the millennium 
• They're going to teach their own people = the truth

6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

• People will be saved at this time
• Why?
• They are taught the word of God 
• Gentiles = nations

7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

8 For I the Lord love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

• I hate robbery = false teaching 
• The present Dome is located on the Temple Mount, In Jerusalem, the site of Solomon's Temple and its successors. (2 chronicle 3:1-3)

9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the Lord hath blessed.

• Their seed = the elect

10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

• Revelation 19 - Spiritual wedding

11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

• Your going to be as trees of  righteousness, teaching the word of God. This is the time you are delivered up 

• Exactly 2520 years from the exile of Benjamin, Iceland became an independent nation.

 

•  The first tribe to be conquered by the Assyrians was Manasseh, in 745 B.C. Exactly 2520 years later America became a nation on July 4, 1776.
