Jeremiah 30
I Will Save My People & Punished The Wicked
The Book of Jeremiah
Jeremiah 30:1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,
-
Jeremiah's Twentieth Prophecy
2 Thus speaketh the Lord God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I
have spoken unto thee in a book.
-
Jeremiah 11:3 And say thou unto them, Thus saith
the Lord God of Israel; Cursed be the man that
obeyeth not the words of this covenant,
4 Which I commanded your fathers in the day that
I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt,
from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice,
and do them, according to all which I command
you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be
your God:
-
In a book. For abiding comfort and hope in the
coming times of trouble. Written before the
deportation.
-
Jeremiah 30:5 For thus saith the Lord; We have
heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of
peace.
6 Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail
with child? wherefore do I see every man with
his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail,
and all faces are turned into paleness?
7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is
like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble;
but he shall be saved out of it.
8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith
the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke
from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and
strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
9 But they shall serve the Lord their God, and
David their king, whom I will raise up unto
them.
10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob,
saith the Lord; neither be dismayed, O Israel:
for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy
seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob
shall return, and shall be in rest, and be
quiet, and none shall make him afraid.
11 For I am with thee, saith the Lord, to save
thee: though I make a full end of all nations
whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not
make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee
in measure, and will not leave thee altogether
unpunished.

A dark foreground is shown in = Jeremiah 31:37
Thus saith the Lord; If heaven above can be
measured, and the foundations of the earth
searched out beneath, I will also cast off all
the seed of Israel for all that they have done,
saith the Lord.
3 For, lo, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will bring again the captivity
of my people Israel and Judah, saith the Lord: and I will cause them to return
to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
-
Israel = As well as Judah
4 And these are the words that the Lord spake concerning Israel and concerning
Judah.
-
These are the words = This is the introduction
to the two chapters.
-
All tribes = Concerning Israel and Judah
5 For thus saith the Lord; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not
of peace.
6 Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see
every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are
turned into paleness?
-
Men don't have children, he talking about a new world age
7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of
Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
-
Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall
Michael stand up, the great prince which
standeth for the children of thy people: and
there shall be a time of trouble,
such as never
was since there was a nation
even to that
same time: and at that time thy people shall be
delivered, every one that shall be found written
in the book.
-
That day = The interpretation here is of the day
of Babylon's overthrow.
-
The application is of the yet future Great
Tribulation of Matthew 24.
-
This is in contrast with the day of Restoration.
-
Great = too great to have another like it.
-
Jacob's = Not Israel's, for it is the natural
seed that is here in question, not the
spiritual.
8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that
I will
break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall
no more serve themselves of him:
-
Jeremiah 28:10 Then Hananiah the prophet took
the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah's
neck, and brake it.
11 And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the
people, saying, Thus saith the Lord; Even so
will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar
king of Babylon from the neck of all nations
within the space of two full years. And
the prophet Jeremiah went his way.
12 Then the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah
the prophet, after that Hananiah the prophet had
broken the yoke from off the neck of the prophet
Jeremiah, saying,
13 Go and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith the
Lord; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but
thou shalt make for them yokes of iron.
9 But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will
raise up unto them.
10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the Lord; neither be
dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the
land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be
quiet, and none shall make him afraid.
11 For I am with thee, saith the Lord, to save thee: though I make a full end of
all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of
thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether
unpunished.
12 For thus saith the Lord, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.
13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no
healing medicines.
14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for
I have wounded
thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the
multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.
15 Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the
multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these
things unto thee.
16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine
adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil
thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.
17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds,
saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom
no man seeketh after.
18 Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's
tents, and have mercy on his dwelling places; and the city shall be builded upon
her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make
merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify
them, and they shall not be small.
20 Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be
established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.
21 And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed
from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach
unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the
Lord.
-
Their nobles = Hebrew his Prince.
-
Their governor = Hebrew his Ruler.
-
Cause him to draw near
-
Who is this . . . ? Compare to Isaiah 63:1 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with
dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel,
travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in
righteousness, mighty to save.
-
Who
= Erotesis. The
prophet's question.
-
This =
Messiah in the execution of
His vengeance in judgment.
-
Edom = red
-
Bozrah = vintage
-
Traveling = bending
forward, as in marching.
-
Strength . . . mighty = strength (for
endurance). Hebrew word koah. Not referring to
His death, which was in weakness.
2 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him
that treadeth in the winefat?
What, his victory over his enemies
Red = Edom
Winefat = winepress
Isaiah 5:2 And he fenced it, and gathered
out the stones thereof, and planted it with the
choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of
it, and also made a winepress therein: and he
looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it
brought forth wild grapes.
Isaiah 63:3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none
with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my
fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will
stain all my raiment.
In judgment = (in grace).
Engaged = pledged.
Isaiah 63:4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed
is come.
Good studying Isaiah 63
22 And ye shall be My people, and I will be your God.
-
He talking about the time of the millennium, The Lord is with us.
-
Revelation 11:14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the
third woe cometh quickly.
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there
were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of
this world
are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he
shall reign for ever and ever.
-
The seventh angel that sounds the
seventh trumpet in this verse, continues to sound through Revelation
20:15
-
We have covered a great deal of
time in this 11th chapter, even the end.
-
Christ has already returned and His
kingdom has come in forever and ever
-
Because there is still one more woe
to come, He is assuring us here that He shall reign supreme.
16 And the four and twenty elders, which
sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and
worshipped God,
They're in heaven doing what?
They're Worshipping God.
17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord
God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou
hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. 18
And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come,
and the time of the dead, that they should be
judged, and that
thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and
to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
God gathers His Very Elect, His saints, that stood up for Him.
Reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to
the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great;
Cup of Wrath pour out on those that followed and worshipped Satan
7th trump - 3rd woe Christ has return and the nations were angry,
and thy wrath is come
The Greek word for
''destroyer'' used here is ''diaph'', meaning ''to
corrupt''.
The dead are spiritually dead.
People that are spiritually dead to God's word will be
judged
The saints are with the Lord
Revelation 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass
mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory
over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark,
and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of
glass, having the harps of God.
3 And they sing the song of Moses
the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,
Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty;
just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in
the first resurrection: on such the
second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of
God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand
years.
The Millennium begins, God's elect are with the Lord
Joshua 13:33 But unto the tribe of
Levi Moses gave not any inheritance: the Lord God of
Israel was their inheritance, as he said unto them.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in
the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power,
but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign
with him a thousand years.
19 And the temple of God
was opened in
heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark
of his
testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and
thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
What was open?
The testament = God's Word open to those that
study His word
The ark of the testament is in heaven. Many
believe when God took Elijah, this was the time
He took the ark.
23 Behold, the whirlwind of the Lord goeth forth with fury, a continuing
whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.
24 The fierce anger of the Lord shall not return, until he have done it, and
until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall
consider it.
• Exactly 2520 years from the exile
of Benjamin, Iceland became an independent nation.
•
The first tribe to be
conquered by the Assyrians was Manasseh,
in 745 B.C. Exactly 2520 years later America became a nation on July 4, 1776.
(Leviticus. 26: 28-46) God warned Israel that if they persisted in continually
breaking His Laws, not only would curses come upon them.
He would punish them for seven times, (a time being 360 years, seven times would
be 2520 years) and would banish them from the land of Palestine and scatter them
among the heathens (like lost sheep)
