Proverbs 18:1 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh
and intermeddleth with all wisdom.

Through desire = seeking his own pleasure, the
recluse (or separatist) breaketh forth (or
quarreleth) with everything that is stable.

He's never happy, he thinks he know its all
-
Intermeddleth = breaketh forth = Meddled with =
gathereth volume
-
All wisdom = everything that is stable
2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may
discover itself.
-
A fool seeks trouble
-
A fool doesn't care about anyone
-
A fool wants to hear lies, they like to start
trouble

A fool has no understanding
-
A fool will makes fool of himself
3 When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy
reproach.

Ignominy = disgrace or shame (outward)
-
Reproach = reproachfulness
4 The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of
wisdom as a flowing brook.
-
Flowing brook = a gushing torrent
-
Deep waters always runs smooth
5 It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the
righteous in judgment.
-
Never listen to a wicked person
-
Not good = meaning it is very bad
-
To accept the person = to show partiality
-
To repent the Ellipsis: It is not good to listen
to fool
-
Overthrow = turn aside - pervert
-
The righteous = a righteous one
6 A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for
strokes.

Lips = for what is spoken by them

A fool thinks he know everything

God ask Job, why are you listens to these men?

Job 40:1 Moreover the Lord answered Job, and
said,
2 Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty
instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him
answer it.
3 Then Job answered the Lord, and said,
4 Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I
will lay mine hand upon my mouth.
5 Once have I spoken; but I will not answer:
yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.
6 Then answered the Lord unto Job out of the
whirlwind, and said,
7 Gird up thy loins now like a man:
I will demand of thee, and declare thou
unto me.
8 Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou
condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?
9 Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou
thunder with a voice like him?
10 Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency;
and array thyself with glory and beauty.
11 Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold
every one that is proud, and abase him.
12 Look on every one that is proud, and
bring him low; and tread down the wicked in
their place.
13 Hide them in the dust together; and
bind their faces in secret.
14 Then will I also confess unto thee
that thine own right hand can save thee.
7 A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his
soul.

Soul = own self

If you listen to a fool, you're bigger fool then
the fool
8 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the
innermost parts of the belly.

Innermost parts of the belly = people love to
hear lies
-
Talebearer = whisperer or tattler = someone that
loves to hurt someone feeling

Are as wounds = are as dainty morsels: are
greedily swallowed
9 He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great
waster.
-
A great waster = a master of destruction: an
absolute destroyer
-
A lazy person will never do things right,
because they will never work , they work at
doing nothing
10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into
it, and is safe.
-
It's higher level of thinking, wisdom keeps you
safe

Name = person
-
Psalms 20:1 The Lord hear thee in the day of
trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend
thee;

Safe = set on high
-
Conceit = imagination
-
Job 19:25 or I know that my redeemer liveth, and
that he shall stand at the latter day upon the
earth:
26 And though after my skin worms destroy this
body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes
shall behold, and not another; though my reins
be consumed within me.
11 The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his
own conceit.

His own imagination, keeps him in trouble

He will do wrong, He thinks money will keep him
out of jail.
12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is
humility.

Ezekiel 28, Satan's down fall was his pride

A person that thinks he know better than God, is
a fool
13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and
shame unto him.

Listen to the whole matter, both sides, before
you answer
14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit
who can bear?

Drugs can cause your spirit to change
-
The bad spirit in drugs will cause you to do
wrong
15 The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise
seeketh knowledge.

He saying don't be stupid

The wise = wise ones = A good spirit is healing
16 A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
17 He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour
cometh and searcheth him.
-
Don't just hear one side of your neighbor
problems, every problem has two sides
18 The lot causeth contentions to cease, and parteth between the mighty.
-
The Holy Spirit can change a person mind
19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their
contentions are like the bars of a castle.
-
Offended = dealt falsely with
20 A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and
with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it
shall eat the fruit thereof.

Power in Hebrew "hand" put by for the power =
put forth by it

By what you say, always use wisdom when you're
speaking
22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of
the Lord.
23 The poor useth intreaties; but the rich answereth roughly.
24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a
friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

A good friend will stand with you, through the
good and bad

A friend = who loves without cause
