Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
  • The king's heart is in the hand of God.
  • Water = small channels which divide
  • God directeth the king's heart, whithersoever He will, as the gardener directeth the water with his foot.
  • Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
  • Isaiah 3:4 And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.
  • The Lord smoothest things out for you, but a man thinks he always right
3 To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
  • Justice = righteousness
4 An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.
  • Sin = The sin offering.
  • A lofty look and a proud heart, (which is) the tillage of the lawless, is more acceptable to them than, the sin offering.
5 The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.
  • Thoughts = reckonings, or calculating
  • The diligent = a diligent one
  • If you think things out, most of the time it's going work out
  • If you're doing things without looking it over, most of the time you're going to go wrong
6 The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.
  • The wick only thing about, causing trouble
7 The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment.
 
8 The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right.
  • The way, The way of a man laden with is unsteady.
  • Pure = upright
9 It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.
  • Man or woman, it's better not to be arguing with each other
  • Most of the time, Satan is causing the trouble = the book of Job
10 The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.
  • A neighbour not going to help a wicked person
11 When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.
  • Scorner = scoffer
  • Instructed = corrected
  • A wicked person doesn't care about being punished, because he's going to do it again
  • A wise man punished will learn from it, and won't do evil again
12 The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God over throweth the wicked for their wickedness.
  • Wickedness = same as "evil"
  • A righteous man can sleep at night
  • A wicked person won't sleep good
13 Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
  • Poor = weak = needs help
  • Who Are The POOR? They are the HANDICAPPED - Disabled People...
  • Heard = answered
  • If you're mocking the handicapped, God's not going to help you
14 A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.

15 It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
  • The just = a just one
  • God loves justice
16 The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.
  • Dead = The Rephaim, who have no resurrection, "deceased" and "dead"
  • These are fallen angels in Genesis 7, this was the reason for the time of Noah flood.
  • Isaiah 26:14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.
    15 Thou hast increased the nation, O Lord, thou hast increased the nation: thou art glorified: thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth.
    16 Lord, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them.
    17 Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O Lord.
    18 We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.
    19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.
17 He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.
  • Poor = destitute
  • If you're only thinking about drinking and party, you're not going to be blessed
18 The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.

19 It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.
  • An angry woman or man, better to walk away, then stay to stay and keep arguing
20 There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.
  • A wicked person will never blessed, A wise man, God will bless
  • A blessing from a wise person isn't things of the world
  • Blessing are wisdom, knowledge and understanding of God's word.
  • How to live a good life, knowing God's plan, etc
21 He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
 
22 A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof.
  • A wise man can overcome many things
  • A woman saved a city, 2 Samuel 20
  • 2 Samuel 20:16 Then cried a wise woman out of the city, Hear, hear; say, I pray you, unto Joab, Come near hither, that I may speak with thee.
    17 And when he was come near unto her, the woman said, Art thou Joab? And he answered, I am he. Then she said unto him, Hear the words of thine handmaid. And he answered, I do hear.
    18 Then she spake, saying, They were wont to speak in old time, saying, They shall surely ask counsel at Abel: and so they ended the matter.
    19 I am one of them that are peaceable and faithful in Israel: thou seekest to destroy a city and a mother in Israel: why wilt thou swallow up the inheritance of the Lord?
    20 And Joab answered and said, Far be it, far be it from me, that I should swallow up or destroy.
    21 The matter is not so: but a man of mount Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bichri by name, hath lifted up his hand against the king, even against David: deliver him only, and I will depart from the city. And the woman said unto Joab, Behold, his head shall be thrown to thee over the wall.
    22 Then the woman went unto all the people in her wisdom. And they cut off the head of Sheba the son of Bichri, and cast it out to Joab. And he blew a trumpet, and they retired from the city, every man to his tent. And Joab returned to Jerusalem unto the king.
    23 Now Joab was over all the host of Israel: and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and over the Pelethites:
    24 And Adoram was over the tribute: and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder:
    25 And Sheva was scribe: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
    26 And Ira also the Jairite was a chief ruler about David.
23 Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

24 Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.

25 The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.

26 He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.

27 The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?
 
28 A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly.
  • A false witness shall die
  • A man that hearth speaketh the truth, you can trust him
29 A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way.
  • Upright person will always ask God, before they do anything
  • Upright person will think before they do anything
30 There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the Lord.
  • Rulers go against God's laws, then the people will blame God
  • If a man rape a child, woman, God said, sent him to Me for judgment
  • Deuteronomy 19:10 That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.
    11 But if any man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities:
  • If a man lie and wait for someone and kill them, this is murder.
  • He plan it out, he waited on the man and killed him.
  • 12 Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.
  • The elders the rulers shall go and get him and put him to death.
  • 13 Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.
    14 Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour's landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the Lord thy God giveth thee to possess it.
    15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.
  • You need two witnesses, not one
31 The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the Lord.
  • Always be ready for war, but put your safety in the Lord
