Psalms 20:1 The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of
Jacob defend thee;
-
Defend = shall defend.
-
To this day the calling out the name of a person
of rank or power will bring protection to one in
danger from the violence of an enemy.

In Psalms always used of God.
2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.

All thy offerings = every present of thine
-
Offering = gift offerings, or presents
-
Accept = Is a Hebrew turn to ashes.

This was the only way by which God accepted what
was offered.

Genesis 4:4 Gen 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of
the firstlings of his flock and of the fat
thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and
to his offering:

Selah = Here, connecting the prayer

Psalms 20:4 Grant thee according to thine own
heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

With the atonement or accepted sacrifice

Psalms 20:3 Remember all thy offerings, and
accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.

The only ground on which prayer can be answered.
4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up
our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.

Fulfil = will fulfil

Will hear = answereth continually

With the saving strengths = by the mighty saving
deeds

Strength = might
6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy
heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of
the Lord our God.

Some trust in = some by

In = By
-
We will remember = we by
8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

Stand upright = are established
9 Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call.

Psalms 20:6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his
anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven
with the saving strength of his right hand.

• Exactly 2520 years from the exile
of Benjamin, Iceland became an independent nation.

The first tribe to be
conquered by the Assyrians was Manasseh,
in 745 B.C. Exactly 2520 years later America became a nation on July 4, 1776.
(Leviticus. 26: 28-46) God warned Israel that if they persisted in continually
breaking His Laws, not only would curses come upon them.
He would punish them for seven times, (a time being 360 years, seven times would
be 2520 years) and would banish them from the land of Palestine and scatter them
among the heathens (like lost sheep)
