2 Thessalonians 3:6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
  • This word "disorderly" in the Greek indicates laziness.
  • Withdraw from one who walks lazily in contradiction to teaching he received of us who work hard or serve with diligence.
7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

8 Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
  • We sponged on no one, but worked for our keep.
9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
  • We set an example for you.
10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
  • If you're not going to work, "IF you're able" = neither should you eat
11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
  • An ant knows when to work, when to sleep.
  • But a lazy person, they don't care.
  • Theses are the give me people.
9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
  • Sleeping often accompanies procrastination.
  • God is not talking about the disabled people
  • This is not addressed to people that can't work.

  • Many today are spiritually asleep.
  • When will they wake up?
10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:

11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

12 A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.
  • If the ant kicked the can down the road until tomorrow, she would starve to death come winter.
  • A froward mouth is perverse.
  • A froward mouth never says anything wise.
13 He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;

14 Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.

15 Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.

    8 Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

  • The man that works can do more than seven lazy men.

5 Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.
  • Deep water is real still, a wise person knows where to find understanding
  • A person with wisdom will know, where to find knowledge, in God's word
6 Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?
  • If you tell someone you're going to do something, do it
  • Keep your word, and you're going to be successful
  • His word is better than a contract

  • Can = is able to

10 Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the Lord.
  • He's has two sets of weights

    13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
  • Notice there are two books
  • They were judged every man according to their works
  • They may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them
  • The only thing you can take with you, (after the flesh body dies), is your works, your "righteous acts"
  • No works, you will be naked in heaven
12 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them.
  • If you're studying God's word and listening, God's going to give you wisdom.

30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
  • This is a lazy person that thinks he knows it all, but he' a fool.
Ephesians 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
  • Or, we will be adult in mind, no longer poorly instructed so that we sway this way or that way, but knowing the truth surely, knowing the fullness of the Gospel as it is recorded in the Word of God.
  • This craftiness whereby they make a lie sound like the truth is impossible in the face of the full truth as the elect understand the Holy Bible being instructed by the Holy Spirit.
  • Who is the cunning bearer of this world at this time?
  • It is Satan of course, and this has reference to your over coming him when he appears here.
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
  • You will speak the truth.
  • You will live the truth, speaking the truth one to another, this is what it really means in the Greek.
  • And how will you speak? In love, as it is recorded in the word.
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
  • We are as a body that fits together joint by joint, all working together using our individual gifts or talents to bring in the fulness of Jesus Christ.
  • Many would say this refers to the church.
  • Call it that if you like.
  • It is His disciples.
  • It is His elect.
  • It is you.
Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
  • You cut off the old way of doing things, or your old self.
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
  • This word renewed in the Greek indicates a kind of funneling of your whole life and mind into a new stream of though.
  • Am I agreeing with the churches that teach, if you do this or that, you're going to hell?
  • No
  • It is saying here, you realize who the real Christ is.. I want you to be aware of the truth that is in Jesus.
  • The truth is in Jesus, the true Messiah.. not in Satan, the false christ.
  • Renew your thoughts in Christ: remain steady in your faith and not let Satan deceive you.
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
  • What is true holiness?
  • It is living in and by the truth.
  • Now until you understand the full identity, know who you are, know Jesus, He is the true Christ, know who the false christ is, Satan and then it is impossible for you to put on a new man or self knowing where you are going and what's going to happen in the near future.
25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.

26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
  • Anger can lead you to sin.
  • Don't nurse it.
27 Neither give place to the devil.
  • Anger clouds your judgment and makes it easy for the devil to lure you.
  • As an example
  • Anger at things that happen to our people could lead us to error, and we're not speaking of a minor mistake when we speak of His people as a nation.
 28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
  • This is the right way to live of course, but it also can include those who steal a birthright, and I refer to the Kenites (sons of the devil).
  • If he hopes to overcome, he must stop saying he is an Israelite, thereby stealing the birthright of a whole nation.
  • This applies nationally and individually.
Ephesians 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
  • It should have no place in your life.
  • Be understanding.
  • If you of the elect are offended by a Kenite, understand he has a purpose and his destiny.
  • This s part of God's plan.
  • You are an adult now.
32 And be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
