Zechariah 4  The Two Witnesses & 7,000                                       

Zechariah 4:1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep,

• Who's talking? The Angel

2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:

• The seven lamps are symbolic of the seven thousand mentioned in Roman 11
• Roman 11:4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
• In Roman 11:4 we can see ...these 7000 that will witness in the last hour
• What seest thou? He is talking directly to the very elect
• Bowl = oil
• Psalm 132:17 There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.
• You need to have the seal of God in your forehead before the 5th trump sounds
• Once the 4 winds are shut its too late. Rev 7
• Rev 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
  2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
  3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
• Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them (Satan & his angels) that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have Not the seal of God in their foreheads.
• Revelation 18:23  And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants (Governments, mayors, leaders) were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
• 1/3 of the Christians help Satan bring in the one world order. They listen to men.
• 2 Thess 2 The fallen away is falling away from God's word
• Revelation 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
• Candlesticks are the lamps
•  Stars = sons of God (Job 38:7)
• Colossians 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:

3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.

• These two witnesses will be on each side of the very elect, leading and guiding the very elect.
• Bowl = oil = word of God
• 10 virgins = 5 studied God's word and 5 didn't they listen to men.
• Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
  2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
  3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them
  4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
  5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
• Olive oil is symbolic of truth
• Without oil, the lamp and Holy Spirit are quenched. No truth; no light
• Vessels = Containing oil, to pour on the torches
• Two Olive tree = God's two witnesses will come with the Word of God
• Examples =  Exodus 17:12 But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
• Revelation 2:16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
• Sword of my mouth = The word of God
17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
• Exodus 17:12 But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

4 So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?

5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.

6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

• The word ''Zerubbabel'' means to born in confusion ''to flow smoothly out of Babel'', It means ''to come out of Babel'', or out of Babylon (confusion) in this present day to learn the full truth.
• The 7000 will bring the 144,000 and in time the whole world, out of Babel.
• The beauty of this whole thing and it's important to translate the full meaning into English is the fact that the oil from these lamps flows not with the help of man, But with the spirit of God.
• The truth is fed into your mind, not by the help of man, but the spirit of God.
• We know this is the season. He called you and is the reason we cannot impose this message upon someone who does not want to accept it.
• The two olive trees are explained as denoting Zerubbabel the prince, and Jeshua the high priest.
• And when it says in Revelation 11:4 "These (Two Witnesses) are the two olive trees, the figure is Metaphor, and the verb "are" means represents the olive tree", etc.
• This the spirit's own explanation of these two witnesses.
• Just as Zerubbabel and Jeshua were raised up, and gifted, and divinely endowed, and protected against Satan's assaults, so in the coming day of Israel's acknowledgement by God, two other great Witnesses from God will be raised up, corresponding to them, occupying a similar position as thee depositories of Heavenly power and wisdom and exercising a similar ministry.
• The two olive trees represented two individuals then; and they represent  two individuals here in this scripture.
• They will be the "two olive trees" for their day, as Zerubbabel and Jeshua were in a former day.
• Ezra 3:2 Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.
• Ezra 5:2 Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which is at Jerusalem: and with them were the prophets of God helping them.
• The power to  Zerubbabel and Jeshua for the completing of the work in which they were engaged. That work was the restoration of Jerusalem, its temple and its worship.

7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

• Who art thou O great Mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain
• In other words, nothing will stand in the way of this witness or message.
• There is no mountain, or it could be said Nation or government that can stand in the way of it, The headstone, of course, is Christ

8 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.

• Haggi 2:19 Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.
• If your seed is still in the barn, you haven't grown anything.
• He's saying teach My word. Seed is the word.
• You have to plant the seed, the word of God before it will grow.
• Is the seed . . . ? The answer is no. It was sown.
• Yea, as yet = howbeit, though at present.
• From this day = from this very day. Referring to their obedience in building
• You  Omit; and take "bless" absolutely.
• Ezra 3:8 Now in the second year of their coming unto the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all they that were come out of the captivity unto Jerusalem; and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to set forward the work of the house of the Lord.
• Ezra 5:16 Then came the same Sheshbazzar, and laid the foundation of the house of God which is in Jerusalem: and since that time even until now hath it been in building, and yet it is not finished.

10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

• A ''plummet'' is a tin stone
• It's a plumb bob weighting heavily on the end of a string, The weight will keep the string straight with no varying from the right to the left.
• You can see the 7000, that pick up the plummet and bring the people out of confusion.
• They, the 7000, are the eyes of God
• There will be more than seven thousand = seven means Spiritual completion
• Likewise, they shall neither turn right or left but go straight, following the truth of God's plan.
• Verse 3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.

11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?

• Who are the two people standing on the right side of the candlestick and the left side thereof?
• No one knows.
• I would hope that anyone would be blessed to be one of these.
• Could it be Elijah, Moses, Enoch or someone in the flesh?
• Verse 2-3 - These two witnesses will be on each side of the very elect, leading and guiding the very elect.

 12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?

• He talking about the two witnesses
• He asked two times

13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.

• He going tell you who these two olive tree are?

14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the LORD of the whole earth.

• These are My two witnesses = sons of oil = Revelation 11
• Oil = The spirit of God's word coming through these two witnesses = which bring the people out of confusion
• Revelation 16:8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
• 4th vial poured out = The two witnesses are here on earth, gathering the very elect. (Revelation 11)
• Scorch men with fire = Holy Spirit = The truth poured out
• Hebrew 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.
• Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
• Who has power? God's two witnesses
• Revelation 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
• My two witnesses, They shall prophesy what? The word of God
• The word "sun" is as in Genesis 15:17, and connected with "righteousness" which Messiah, the righteous One, alone can bring.
• Sun # 422 means light = truth
• The two anointed ones = Hebrew, the two sons of oil; looking forward again to the future, to "the two witnesses" of Rev 11:3-13.
