1 Timothy 6:1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.
  • If you are working for someone, do your best
2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
  • False teaching is never going to get you anywhere
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, where of cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
  • Teach God's words, not man's word
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
  • He is saying don't teach God's word only for money. God doesn't sent beggars
  • You would be wise to follow Paul's instruction.
  • These were things you shouldn't listen to.
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry no thing out.
  • Joe 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
  • The only thing you can take with you is your works
  • Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
  • The desire to be rich can be more worse
  • Because you'll do anything to get there
  • It's okay to be rich, if you do things God's ways
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
  • You're suppose to love God, not money
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, where unto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
  • Do what's right, don't have money on your mind all the time
  • Hold on to the promises we find in God's Word.
  • That is where we find eternal life.
  • Don't be ashamed to share God's Word with others.
13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
  • Isaiah 53 = Christ would come and die for our sins
  • Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
  • With His stripes, Jesus pay the price for our sins
  • Wounded = pierced
  • 1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
    25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
  • Romans 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
    18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
  • What was the good confession Jesus witnessed before Pilate?
  • If you are familiar with Isaiah 53:7.
  • Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
  • You know that He was delivered up as a lamb to the slaughter and didn't say a word.
  • What was His witness?
  • Good reading Matthew 27
14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
  • When Jesus returns at the second advent, He is going to take care of the false shepherd.
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming:
    9 Even Him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
    10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
  • The false shepherd is Satan
  • Our Father is very complete in His instructions.
  • It is we that must take a little time to understand what it is that Jesus witnessed to Pontius Pilate
15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
  • Jesus is the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords
  • Are you in the right camp? Are you in the right army?
  • How do you know for sure? By the word of God!
  • By the testimony of Jesus!
  • Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
  • The seventh angel that sounds the seventh trumpet in this verse, continues to sound through Revelation 20.
  • Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
  • We have covered a great deal of time in this 11th chapter, even the end.
  • Christ has already returned and His kingdom has come in forever and ever
  • Because there is still one more woe to come, He is assuring us here that He shall reign supreme.
16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
  • The only place you will find immortality, is through the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • What any fake man may tell you; this is the fact of God's Word.
  • You have God's word. Read it. The Lord will not mislead you.
17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
  • When you receive wisdom and understanding, God expects you to share it.
  • He considers this good works.
  • What greater gift than to lead someone to eternal life.
18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.
  • 1 Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
  • To speak = babble
  • Your to keep silence why your pastor is teaching, after church you can ask questions.

  • Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
    18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy
  • Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
  • 35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
  • Same as verse 34

  • Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

    Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
  • 36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
    37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
    38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
    39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
  • Covet = same as desire, verse 1
  • 40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
  • Talk in their language, where all will understand
  • Decently = elsewhere translation honestly
  • 1 Thessalonians 4:12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
  • Paul suggests here that being Christians, who know the truth and accept it, that we are different than those without the faith.
  • Thus he has cautioned us to work quietly in our communities, that we may walk honestly and earn their respect.

Exactly 2520 years from the exile of Benjamin, Iceland became an independent nation.

  The first tribe to be conquered by the Assyrians was Manasseh, in 745 B.C. Exactly 2520 years later America became a nation on July 4, 1776.

(Leviticus. 26: 28-46) God warned Israel that if they persisted in continually breaking His Laws, not only would curses come upon them.

He would punish them for seven times, (a time being 360 years, seven times would be 2520 years) and would banish them from the land of Palestine and scatter them among the heathens (like lost sheep)
