Isaiah 14
Book of Isaiah
Isaiah 14:1 For the LORD will have mercy on
Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own
land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they
shall cleave to the house of Jacob.
-
Jacob, All Tribes of Israel
-
Everyone will be blessed by God
-
Revelation 21:3
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the
tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and
they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them,
and be their God.
2 And the people
shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of
Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants
and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives
they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.
-
To teach, to lead, to share
3
And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give
thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard
bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
-
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears
from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither
sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for
the former things are passed away.
4 That thou
shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say,
How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!
-
God will put a stop to Satan
5
The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of
the rulers.
-
The Lord has taken over, all the earth
-
Man has always wanted to take the place of God
6 He who smote the people in wrath with a
continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is
persecuted, and none hindereth.
-
No one is going to stop God, God's plan will happen
7 The whole earth is at
rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.
-
Same as Thanksgiving, The earth is at peace,
Christ is our Sabbath
-
Sabbath = rest = Put your rest in Christ
-
The lord is with us
8 Yea,
the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon,
saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against
us.
-
The Assyrian, Satan was a cedar in Lebanon, (Box
cedar)
-
Ezekiel 31:3 Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in
Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing
shroud, and of an high stature; and his top was
among the thick boughs.
4 The waters made him great, the deep set him up
on high with her rivers running round about his
plants, and sent out her little rivers unto all
the trees of the field.
5 Therefore his height was exalted above all the
trees of the field, and his boughs were
multiplied, and his branches became long because
of the multitude of waters, when he shot forth.
6 All the fowls of heaven made their nests in
his boughs, and under his branches did all the
beasts of the field bring forth their young, and
under his shadow dwelt all great nations.
7 Thus was he fair in his greatness, in the
length of his branches: for his root was by
great waters.
8 The cedars in the garden of God could not hide
him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and
the chestnut trees were not like his branches;
nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto
him in his beauty.
9 I have made him fair by the multitude of his
branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that
were in the garden of God, envied him.
10 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because
thou hast lifted up thyself in height, and he
hath shot up his top among the thick boughs, and
his heart is lifted up in his height;
11 I have therefore delivered him into the hand
of the mighty one of the heathen; he shall
surely deal with him: I have driven him out for
his wickedness.
-
Satan think he was better than anyone
9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at
thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief
ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the
kings of the nations.
-
The dead for thee = Jude 1-6 False angels
10 All they shall speak and say
unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like
unto us?
-
He thinks he is so powerful, but he's a man
11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and
the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the
worms cover thee.
-
Outside Jerusalem, He's covered with worms, in
the grave = he's dead
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O
Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the
ground, which didst weaken the nations!
-
The fall of Satan
-
Lucifer, son of the morning, he's a copycat, he
wanted to be God
-
Son of the morning means morning star, in a sense.
-
Do not be confused by this
-
Christ is the morning star.
-
Satan is the imposter.
-
Who weakens the nations?
-
The king of Babylon, Satan
-
He's the anti-christ
-
Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall
from heaven.
19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions,
and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means
hurt you.
13 For thou hast
said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my
throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of
the congregation, in the sides of the north:
-
Mount Zion, The dwelling place of God.
-
Satan will arise in Jerusalem saying, I am God
-
Do you see the impostor?
-
Satan boasted he would take the place of God.
14 I will
ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will be like the most
High.
-
Satan's saying, I will be like God, The Most High
-
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no
man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come,
except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be
revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth
himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that
he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is
God.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the
sides of the pit.
-
God is speaking, I will bring you down to hell, the sides of the
pit.
-
Revelation 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old
serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand
years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and
shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the
nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled:
and after that he must be loosed a little season.
16 They that see thee shall narrowly
look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that
made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
-
The people will be saying,
Is this the man who
made the earth to tremble and the kingdoms
to shake.
17
That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities
thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
-
Satan's did not give anyone a change
18
All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory,
every one in his own house.
-
Or, they rest in their own place or grave.
19 But thou art cast out of
thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those
that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the
stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
20
Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast
destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers
shall never be renowned.
21 Prepare slaughter for his
children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not
rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with
cities.
22 For I will rise up against them, saith the
LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant,
and son, and nephew, saith the LORD.
-
God is saying, I'm going to cut off confusion
-
Babylon means confusion
23 I will also make it a possession for
the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the
besom of destruction, saith the LORD of hosts.
-
Besom, OT:4292 a broom, "to dust"
-
I will sweep it with the broom (to dust) of
destruction, saith the LORD of hosts.
24 The
LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so
shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it
stand:
-
My Plan, My word, this is how it's going to be
-
God knows how things are going to end
-
I'm going to destroy Satan
25 That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and
upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke
depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their
shoulders.
-
The Assyrian, another name for Satan
-
Daniel 7, more of Satan's names
-
I'm going to destroy Satan
26 This is the purpose that is purposed upon
the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon
all the nations.
-
The Lord is in control, God's hand,
Is going to be on, All the earth
-
They will know, My hand,
that is stretched out upon all the nations.
27 For the LORD of hosts hath purposed,
and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and
who shall turn it back?
-
The Lord is in control, Who shall disannul it?
-
Nobody, can turn His hand back
28 In the year that king Ahaz
died was this burden.
-
When God speaks, It's time to listen
-
Ahaz was not a good king
-
He offer his own son up to
Moab and burn him alive, in the name of
Religion.
29 Rejoice not thou, whole
Palestine, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for
out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his
fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.
-
This is the rod, I will use to correct Babylon,
It's God that does this
30 And the
firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down
in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall
slay thy remnant.
-
The firstborn, God's
Elect
-
Wickedness, they are not going to be around
31 Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou,
whole Palestine, art dissolved: for there shall come from the
north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.
-
Whose on the North Side? Satan
-
Verse 13,
I will sit also upon the mount of the
congregation, in the sides of the north
32 What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation?
That the LORD hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people
shall trust in it.
-
Those that were the first fruits, God's Elect
