Samson and The Philistines Women
(1) Samson
(like the sun), son of Manoah, a man
of the town of Zorah in the tribe of Dan, on the border of
Judah.
-
Joshua 15:33 And in the valley, Eshtaol, and
Zoreah, and Ashnah,
-
Joshua 19:41 And the coast of their
inheritance was Zorah, and Eshtaol, and
Ir-shemesh,
(B.C. 1161). The miraculous circumstances of his birth are
recorded in Judges 13; and the three following chapters are
devoted to the history of his life and exploits. Samson takes
his place in Scripture, (1) as a judge an office which he
filled for twenty years,
-
Judges 15:20 And he judged Israel in the days of
the Philistines twenty years.
-
Judges 16:31 Then his brethren and all
the house of his father came down, and took him,
and brought him up, and buried him between Zorah
and Eshtaol in the burying place of Manoah his
father. And he judged Israel twenty years.
(2) As a Nazarite
-
Judges 13:5
For, lo, thou shalt
conceive, and bear a son; and no rasor shall
come on his head: for the child shall be a
Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall
begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the
Philistines.
-
Judges 16:17 That he told her all his heart, and
said unto her, There hath not come a rasor upon
mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God
from my mother's womb: if I
be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and
I shall become weak, and be like any other man.
(3) as one endowed with supernatural power by the Spirit of
the Lord.
-
Judges 13:25 And the Spirit of the LORD began to
move him at times in the camp of Dan between
Zorah and Eshtaol.
-
Judges 14:6 And the Spirit of the LORD
came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he
would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his
hand: but he told not his father or his mother
what he had done.
-
Judges 15:14 And when he came unto Lehi,
the Philistines shouted against him: and the
Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and
the cords that were upon his arms became as flax
that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed
from off his hands.
As a judge his authority seems to have been limited to the
district bordering upon the country of the Philistines.
The divine inspiration which Samson shared with Othniel, Gideon
and Jephthah assumed in him the unique form of vast
personal strength, inseparably connected with the
observance of his vow as a Nazarite: "his
strength was in his hair."
He married a Philistine woman whom he had seen
at Timnath.
One day, on his way to that city, he was attacked by a lion,
which he killed; and again passing that way he saw a
swarm of bees in the carcass of the lion, and
he ate of the honey, but still he told no one.
He availed himself of this circumstance, and of the custom of
proposing riddles at marriage feasts, to lay a snare for
the Philistines.
But Samson told the riddle to his wife and
she told it to the men of the city, whereupon
Samson slew thirty men of the city.
Returning to his own house, he found his wife married to
another, and was refused permission to see her.
Samson revenged himself by taking 300 foxes (or
rather jackals) and tying them together two by two by the tails,
with a firebrand between every pair of tails, and so he
let them loose into the standing corn of the Philistines,
which was ready for harvest,
The Philistines took vengeance by burning Samson's wife
and her father; but he fell hip upon them in return,
and smote them with a great slaughter," after
which he took refuge on the top of the rock of Etam, in the
territory of Judah.
The Philistines gathered an army to revenge themselves
when the men of Judah hastened to make peace by giving up
Samson, who was hound with cords, these, however, he broke like
burnt flax and finding a jawbone of an ass at hand, he
slew with it a thousand of the Philistines.
The supernatural character of this exploit was confirmed by the
miraculous bursting out of a spring of water to revive the
champion as he was ready to die of thirst.
This achievement raised Samson to the position of a judge, which
he held for twenty years.
After a time he began to fall into the temptations
which addressed themselves to his strong animal nature; but
he broke through every snare in which he was
caught so long as he kept his Nazarite vow.
While he was visiting a harlot in Gaza, the
Philistines shut the gates of the city,
intending to kill him in the morning; but
at midnight he went out and tore away the gates,
with the posts and bar and carried them to the top of a hill
looking toward Hebron.
Next he formed his fatal connection with Delilah, a
woman who lived in the valley of Sorek.
(Delilah (languishing) a woman who dwelt in the valley Of
Sorek, beloved by Samson.
Judges 16:4 And it came to pass afterward, that he loved
a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was
Delilah.
5 And the lords of the Philistines came
up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see
wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we
may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him:
and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred
pieces of silver.
6 And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray
thee, wherein thy great strength lieth, and wherewith thou
mightest be bound to afflict thee.
7 And Samson said unto her, If they bind me with seven
green withs that were never dried, then shall I be weak,
and be as another man.
8 Then the lords of the Philistines brought up to her
seven green withs which had not been dried, and she
bound him with them.
9 Now there were men lying in wait,
abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him, The
Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he brake the withs, as a
thread of tow is broken when it toucheth the fire. So
his strength was not known.
10 And Delilah said unto Samson, Behold, thou hast
mocked me, and told me lies: now tell
me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be bound.
11 And he said unto her, If they bind me fast with new
ropes that never were occupied, then shall I be weak,
and be as another man.
12 Delilah therefore took new ropes, and
bound him therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon
thee, Samson. And there were liers in wait abiding in
the chamber. And he brake them from off his
arms like a thread.
13 And Delilah said unto Samson, Hitherto thou hast
mocked me, and told me lies: tell me wherewith
thou mightest be bound. And he said unto her, If thou weavest
the seven locks of my head with the web.
14 And she fastened it with the pin, and
said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he
awaked out of his sleep, and went away with the pin of the beam,
and with the web.
15 And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I
love thee, when thine heart is not with me? thou hast
mocked me these three times, and hast not told
me wherein thy great strength lieth.
16 And it came to pass, when she pressed him
daily with her words, and urged him,
so that his soul was vexed unto death;
17 That he told her all his heart,
and said unto her, There hath not come a rasor
upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto
God from my mother's womb: if I be
shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become
weak, and be like any other man.
18 And when Delilah saw that he had
told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords
of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath
shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came
up unto her, and brought money in their
hand.
19
And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she
called for a man, and she
caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she
began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.
20 And she said, The Philistines
be upon thee, Samson. And
he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other
times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the
LORD was departed from him.
21 But the Philistines took him, and put out his
eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with
fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.
22 Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow
again after he was shaven.
23 Then the lords of the Philistines gathered them
together for to offer a great sacrifice unto Dagon their god,
and to rejoice: for they said, Our god hath delivered
Samson our enemy into our hand.
24 And when the people saw him, they praised
their god: for they said, Our god hath delivered into
our hands our enemy, and the destroyer
of our country, which slew many of us.
25 And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry,
that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us
sport. And they called for Samson out of the
prison house; and he made them sport: and they
set him between the pillars.
26 And Samson said unto the lad that held him by
the hand, Suffer me that I may feel the pillars
whereupon the house standeth, that I may lean upon them.
27 Now the house was full of men and women;
and all the lords of the Philistines
were there; and there
were upon the roof about three thousand men and
women, that beheld while Samson made sport.
28 And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O
Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and
strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that
I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.
29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars
upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne
up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his
left.
30 And Samson said, Let me die with the
Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his
might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the
people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death
were more than they which he slew in his life.
31 Then his brethren and all the house of his father came
down, and took him, and brought him up, and buried him
between Zorah and Eshtaol in the buryingplace of Manoah his
father. And he judged Israel twenty years.
End times God's very elect will destroy Satan's one world
government once they are deliver up and God will speak through
them.
The stone is the word of God = Revelation 2:17
He that hath an ear, let him hear what
the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will
I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will
give him a white stone, and in the
stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving
he that receiveth it.
Mark 13:9 But take heed to yourselves: for they
shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall
be beaten (mocked): and ye shall be brought before rulers and
kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
10 And the gospel must first be published among
all nations.

Act 2,
What was spoken of on Pentecost Day? This is that which was spoken by
the prophet Joel.
11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you
up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do
ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour,
that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.

Judges 15:14 And when he (Samson) came unto Lehi,
the Philistines shouted against him: and the
Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and
the cords that were upon his arms became as flax
that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed

12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death
(Satan), and the father the son; and children shall rise up
against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death
(Satan).
Daniel 2:31 Satan's image brings One Worldism, falsehood,
deception, confusion, you're going to see one of the biggest false
revival on earth that every happen, Satan going to pay all your bills, he's going to give

Daniel 11:21
And in his (Satan's one world
government) estate shall stand up a vile person (Satan), to whom
they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he
shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.
Matthew 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because
it is given unto you to know the mysteries of
the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
1 Corinthians15:26 The
last enemy that shall be destroyed is death (Satan).
Samson and David both destroyed the Philistine
with stones, David used 1 and Samson used 2.
1 Samuel 17 David had 5 smooth
stones but he only used 1.
1 Samuel 17:49 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone,
and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the
stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the
earth.

1 Peter 2:4 To whom

Jesus Christ.

This is the ''white stone'' which is the hidden manna, or hidden
truth that only the elect can learn.
The Lord has commanded Satan you can not touch those with the
seal of God in their forehead
Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them
that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any
green thing, neither any tree; but only
those men which have not the
seal of God in their foreheads.
5 And to them it was given that they should not
kill them, but that they
should be tormented five months: and their
torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he
striketh a man.
Notice in 1 Samuel 17:49 David smote the
Philistine in his forehead
Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of
mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which
built his house upon a rock:

Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates
of hell shall not prevail against it.

the vengeance of eternal fire.
Who were they marrying? The fallen angels - they were not born of

The two middle pillars. Recent excavations at Gaza have
laid bare two smooth stone bases close together
in the centre, on (not in) which these two pillars stood. On
these the main beams rested, and by which the whole
house was sustained. Samson had only to pull these
pillars out of the perpendicular, to effect his object.
The valley of Sorek (red), The valley of,
a wady in which lay the residence of Delilah.
Judges 16:4 And it came to pass afterward, that he loved
a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.
It was possibly nearer Gaza than any other of the chief Philistine
cities, since thither Samson was taken after his capture at
Delilah's house.
There seems to be little doubt that she was a Philistine
courtesan. [SAMS0N] (B.C. 1141.
Thrice he suffered himself to be bound with green withes, with
new ropes, but released himself until finally,
wearied out with her importunity, he
"told her all his heart," and while he was
asleep she had him shaven of his seven locks of hair.
His enemies put out his eyes, and led
him down to Gaza, bound in brazen fetters, and made him
grind in the prison.
Matthew 13:16 But blessed
are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they
hear.
Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that
I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a
thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
Then they held a great festival in the temple of Dagon,
to celebrate their victory over Samson.
They brought forth the blind champion to make sport for
them, end placed him between the two chief pillars
which supported the roof that surrounded the court.
Samson asked the lad who guided him to let him feel the
pillars, to lean upon them.
Then, with a fervent prayer that God would strengthen
him only this once, to be avenged on the
Philistines, he bore with all his might upon
the two pillars; they yielded, and the house
fell upon the lords and all the people.
So the dead which he slew at his death were
more than they which he slew in his life." In his name is
enrolled among the worthies of the Jewish Church.

(Leviticus. 26: 28-46) God warned Israel that if they persisted in continually
breaking His Laws, not only would curses come upon them.
He would punish them for seven times, (a time being 360 years, seven times would
be 2520 years) and would banish them from the land of Palestine and scatter them
among the heathens (like lost sheep)
