Proverbs 10
Book of
Proverbs
Proverbs 10:1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father:
but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.
-
A mother will never give up on her child
2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth
from death.
-
Death = things which lead to death
-
Wickedness = lawlessness
-
Treasures of wickedness = men that steal, sell
drugs, etc..
3 The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he
casteth away the substance of the wicked.
-
The wicked = lawless ones
-
Wicked men will never have peace of mind
-
It doesn't pay to take from needy, steal,
murder, sell drugs, tell lies, etc..
4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the
diligent maketh rich.
-
Poor = needy
-
Slack = deceitful = lazy people
-
These are lazy people, they're the give me
people
-
He's not
talking about the disabled people or someone that needs help.
-
There's nothing wrong with getting help
when your down and can't work, or it your having hard time.
-
It's the lazy people that think they should get help because
it's free.
-
2
Thessalonians
3:6 Now we
command you,
brethren, in the
name of our Lord
Jesus Christ,
that ye withdraw
yourselves from
every brother
that walketh
disorderly,
and not after
the tradition
which he
received of us.
7 For yourselves
know how ye
ought to follow
us: for we
behaved not
ourselves
disorderly among
you;
8 Neither did
we eat any man's
bread for nought;
but wrought
with labour and
travail night
and day,
that we might
not be
chargeable to
any of you:
9 Not because we
have not power,
but to make
ourselves an
ensample unto
you to follow
us.
10 For even when
we were with
you, this we
commanded you,
that
if any would not
work,
neither should
he eat.
11 For we hear
that there are
some which walk
among you
disorderly,
working not at
all,
but
are busybodies.
-
God knows your heart...
-
Busybodies... These people do not work .. they think we should give them everything..
-
Because they listen to the lies of the world ...Satan is the prince of this world.
-
Busybodies... lazy people... they are the give-me people
= trouble makers
5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in
harvest is a son that causeth shame.
-
Proverbs 6:6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard;
consider her ways, and be wise:
7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and
gathereth her food in the harvest.
9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when
wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
6 Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the
mouth of the wicked.
-
Blessings: not simply good things, but good
things bestowed by another
-
The just = a just one
-
Violence: or, the mouth of lawless ones conceal
violence
7 The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall
rot.
-
The wicked will no longer be remember, after the
death of the flesh
8 The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall
fall.
9 He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his
ways shall be known.
10 He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall
fall.
11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth
the mouth of the wicked.
12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
13 In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod
is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
-
Follow God's word, don't follow a fool
14 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near
destruction.
15 The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor
is their poverty.
-
It's not a sin to be rich, but if you get rich
by ripping people off, yes this is sin and
wrong.
16 The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked
to sin.
17 He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that
refuseth reproof erreth.
-
Man fears the unknown
-
You get wisdom from God's word, you know what's
going to happen in the end times.
-
Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the Lord is to hate
evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way,
and the froward mouth, do I hate.
18 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a
slander, is a fool.
-
Don't let hate build up in you, take care of it
or just forgive them
19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that
refraineth his lips is wise.
-
Don't talk about something you know nothing
about, just tell the person you don't know.
-
Don't give advice to someone you know nothing
about
-
Remember Job's so called friends, 38 chapters of
words from man
20 The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked
is little worth.
-
If God gives you a truth share it with others,
if they ask
21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of
wisdom.
-
Feed = shepherd: instruct
-
Wisdom = heart, for understanding
-
Fools die for want of wisdom = Peace of mind
22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow
with it.
-
It = Itself the uttered blessing, like the "word
of the wise"
23 It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding
hath wisdom.
-
If not right to mock people to hurt their
feeling
-
Joking around doesn't hurt peoples feeling
-
Any time you think mocking someone and hurting
their feeling is funny, remember your working
for Satan not God.
-
It's up to you, work for God or work for Satan
24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the
righteous shall be granted.
-
The fear of the wicked, by ripping people off =
they get what's coming to him
25 As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous
is an everlasting foundation.
-
Everyone has the right to choose right or
wrong
-
Never talk about the word of God with someone
that doesn't care about God
26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard
to them that send him.
-
Sluggard = lazy person
-
If you send a lazy person to do something,
you'll always have smoke in your eyes
-
Because they won't work, they think they are to
good to work.
27 The fear of the Lord prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked
shall be shortened.
-
Righteous person going to have more good days
then bad day
28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of
the wicked shall perish.
-
All you do, is written in the book, you're main
judgment is with God
29 The way of the Lord is strength to the upright: but destruction shall
be to the workers of iniquity.
30 The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not
inhabit the earth.
-
Revelation 20:14, after the millennium there is
no more wicked people
-
Revelation 20:14 And death (Satan) and hell were cast into the lake of
fire.
-
Another name for Satan = death
-
1 Corinthians15:26 The
last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
-
Hebrews
2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and
blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through
death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the
devil;
31 The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue
shall be cut out.
32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of
the wicked speaketh frowardness.
-
God hates abomination things
-
Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the
Lord hate: yea, seven are an
abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that
shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,
feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he
that soweth discord among brethren.
20 My son, keep thy father's commandment, and
forsake not the law of thy mother:
• Exactly 2520 years from the exile
of Benjamin, Iceland became an independent nation.
•
The first tribe to be
conquered by the Assyrians was Manasseh,
in 745 B.C. Exactly 2520 years later America became a nation on July 4, 1776.
