Psalms 21
Psalms 21:1 The king shall joy in thy strength, O Lord; and
in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
2 Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of
his lips. Selah.
3 For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown
of pure gold on his head.
-
Preventest = comest to meet
-
Crown = Revelation 14:14 And I looked, and
behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat
like unto the Son of man, having on his head a
golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
4 He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even
length of days for ever and ever.
-
Life = resurrection life
-
Isaiah 53:10 Yet it pleased
the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to
grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering
for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong
his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall
prosper in his hand.
-
Hebrews 2:10 For it became
him, for whom are all things, and by whom are
all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to
make the captain of their salvation perfect
through sufferings.
5 His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty
hast thou laid upon him.
-
Honour = Compare to = Revelation 5:13 Rev 5:13
And every creature which is in heaven, and on
the earth, and under the earth, and such as are
in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I
saying, Blessing, and
honour, and glory, and power,
be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and
unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
6 For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast
made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.
-
Blessed = Compare to = Revelation 5:13 Rev 5:13
And every creature which is in heaven, and on
the earth, and under the earth, and such as are
in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I
saying, Blessing, and
honour, and glory, and power,
be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and
unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
7 For the king trusteth in the Lord, and through the mercy
of the most High he shall not be moved.

8 Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right
hand shall find out those that hate thee.
9 Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the Lord
shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
10 Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the
children of men.
-
Make them = place them as [in] a furnace of
fire.
11 For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a
mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
-

12 Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when
thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.
13 Be thou exalted, Lord, in thine own strength: so will we
sing and praise thy power.

(Leviticus. 26: 28-46) God warned Israel that if they persisted in continually
breaking His Laws, not only would curses come upon them.
He would punish them for seven times, (a time being 360 years, seven times would
be 2520 years) and would banish them from the land of Palestine and scatter them
among the heathens (like lost sheep)
