Moses and Elijah and David
The two Witnesses could be
Moses and Elijah:
Moses and Elijah were the two who appeared at the mount of
transfiguration.
Matthew 17:1 And after six days Jesus
taketh
Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an
high mountain apart,
2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as
the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias
(Elijah)
talking with him.
They witnessed Christ's Kingdom prior to His coming.
The message
that they will preach will be about the Kingdom during the
Tribulation.
Their message will be extremely poignant since they
have already witnessed the Kingdom.
Matthew 16:28 Verily I say
unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of
death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
Revelation 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two
candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
Revelation 11:4 refers to the two olive trees, as does
Zechariah 4:3
And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl,
and the other upon the left side thereof.
Bowl = oil = word of God
Two Olive tree = God's two witnesses will

Oil = The spirit of God's word coming through these two witnesses, which bring the people out of confusion
Revelation 16:8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial

fire.
4th vial poured out = The two witnesses are here on
earth, gathering the very elect. (Revelation 11)
Scorch men with fire = Holy Spirit = The truth poured out
Elijah and Moses are both referenced as having stood with the
Lord.

Samuel Followed God's Way it was the people that went the ways of the
world
1 Samuel 8:1 And it came to pass, when Samuel was
old, that he made his sons judges over Israel.

Consequently he acted for thirty-eight years

thousand, and look how thy brethren fare, and take their pledge.

Their pledge = a token from them of their
welfare = a message or letter, or a lock of
hair.

It was some years after this that David suddenly appears before his
brothers in the camp of the army, and hears the defiant challenge of the
Philistine giant Goliath.

With his shepherd's sling and five small pebbles he goes forth and
defeats the
giant.
36 Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this
uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath
defied the armies of the living God.

David is saying, just as God helped him slew both the lion and the bear,
Also God will help him bring down this
Philistine, because he hath defied the
armies of the living God.
37 David said more over, The LORD that delivered me out of the
paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver
me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David,
Go, and the LORD be with thee.

David gave all the credit to God, he didn't say, I slew the bear

38 And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of
brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.

It is easy to visualize David barely able to
stand under the weight of Saul's armour.

David had proved his staff and his sling, to be
his weapons of choice.

David knew he couldn't wear all the heavy armour
39 And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to

go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them

He assayed = he tested the armour
40 And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth
stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which
he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he
drew near to the Philistine.
