Proverbs 29

Proverbs 29:1 He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall
suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

Against Stubbornness and Insubdination
2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the
wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
-
In authority = increase, not necessarily in
numbers, but in greatness.
3 Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company
with harlots spendeth his substance.
-
A person that tries to to right, loves wisdom
-
But a person that want to cause trouble, he
keeps company with Satan's ways
-
Harlots = false doctrines = commit idolatry =
going after another god
4 The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth
gifts overthroweth it.
-
A righteous king will establish the land
-
But a ruler that receiveth gifts = is open to bribes
= wickedness ways
5 A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.
-
To over flatter your neighbor, you cause his
mischief
6 In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the
righteous doth sing and rejoice.
-
If your doing wicked, sooner or later you're
going to get caught
7 The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked
regardeth not to know it.
-
A wicked person doesn't care about anyone but
himself, he doesn't have any compassion
-
The poor = weak ones, poverty
8 Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.
-
Scornful = unbelievers = they only think about
doing wicked
-
Scornful men = scoffers = men of scorning men
9 If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh,
there is no rest.
-
You can't telling him anything, he not going to
listen
-
They think they know it all, they never do any
thing that's right
10 The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.

Bloodthirsty = men of bloods
-
The just = an honest one
11 A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till
afterwards.
-
A fool going to jump in and tell you what's
he thinks, he doesn't wait on the facts
-
But a wise person, he going to wait until he
gets the facts, he'll wait until he see what's going on
-
Good example = most news, they love to destroy a
person, they don't care if it's the truth are
not,
-
They don't care about the truth or the facts,
They love to cause trouble, to make money
12 If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.
13 The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the Lord lighteneth
both their eyes.

The Lord going help a needy person
-
He going to give them eyes to see
through a wicked person
-
The poor = a needy man
-
The deceitful = a crafty or an oppressive man,
especially a creditor or usurer
-
Meet together = unexpectedly
14 The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be
established for ever.
-
Who throne is forever?
-
Christ
15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth
his mother to shame.
-
Teach your child right and wrong as a child,
don't wait until he's 16 years old, it's too late
-
Always tell a child why you are correcting him.
-
Teach your child God's laws and commandments
16 When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the
righteous shall see their fall.
-
If you teach your child hate and mischief, God
doesn't like it

It's
not good to multiplied hate and mischief
-
Multiplied = increased in authority or position,
not necessarily in number
-
See their fall = see into the symptoms and cause
of, their fall
-
Fall caused by external circunstances
17 Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give
delight unto thy soul.
-
When you are correcting child, always tell him
why you are correcting him.
-
Never correct a child when your angry
-
One things that works well is, don't let them go
out with their friends, take their phone away
18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the
law, happy is he.
-
If there's no law, people are going to die
-
Why?
-
Because the wicked will take over
-
Rulers that keep God's law, they live in peace
-
Why?
-
Because the wicked are punished, not rewarded.
19 A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he
will not answer.
20 Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a
fool than of him.
21 He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have
him become his son at the length.
22 An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in
transgression.

Stay away from people like this. They're
nothing but trouble

Furious man = a master or Lord of wrath
23 A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble
in spirit.
-
Self righteous person will tell you, how humble
he is
24 Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth
cursing, and bewrayeth it not.
-
If you're partner with theft, you're part of it.
-
You're a theft also. your headed to the pit
25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the
Lord shall be safe.
-
If you put your hope in man, it's not going to
work
-
Put your faith in God first, ask God for the
wisdom to guide you
26 Many seek the ruler's favour; but every man's judgment cometh from
the Lord.
-
Many seek to do things to please the rulers
-
You can pleased man all you want to, but God is
the final judge
-
The fear of man, refers to the inward feeling of
timidly
-
To fear a snare
-
One of the two snares
-
The other is "the praise of man"
27 An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright
in the way is abomination to the wicked.
-
God calls wicked abomination
-
If you take a short cut, God see this
abomination
